Textbooks are the main basis for teachers' teaching and an important tool for student learning.Textbook exercises are an indispensable part of the textbook.Through the systematic analysis of mathematics textbook exercises,you can further understand the effect of the implementation of the new curriculum reform concept,and you can analyze the problems existing in the textbook exercises and make suggestions for improvement.By investigating the use of textbook exercises,teachers and students can realize the advantages and disadvantages of their own methods of use,so as to better integrate and use the textbook exercises.This research uses the content analysis method,questionnaire survey method,interview method,and classroom observation method to investigate the use of the junior high school mathematics textbook exercises printed by Jiangsu Science and Technology Publishing House.First of all,the analysis of textbook exercises is carried out to understand the specific situation of the number,type,function and difficulty of the exercises.Questionnaire and interview methods were used to investigate the degree of recognition and usage of junior middle school math textbook exercises by teachers and students in H city.Classroom observation is used to make a field study of the use of teaching materials in the specific teaching process of teachers and students.The following conclusions are drawn:1.The design characteristics of textbook exercises are as follows.Uneven distribution of the number of chapters in exercises;traditional exercises still dominate,but the types of exercises are rich and varied;exercise openness is valued,but the proportion is still not high enough;exercises pay attention to students practical ability,but the actual background level of exercise is insufficient;exercise overall functional strong,but less difficult.2.The attitudes of teachers and students to all aspects of textbook exercises are as follows.Most teachers and students have a high degree of recognition for the functions of textbook exercises,the richness of textbook exercises,and the closeness between textbook exercises and textbook contents.And they think the textbook exercises can meet the needs of teaching.However,they have a low degree of recognition for the number of textbook exercises,the difficulty of textbook exercises and the close relationship between textbook exercises and daily life.3.The situation of teachers and students using textbook exercises is as follows.In actual teaching,the usage rate of textbook exercises is low.Most teachers and students use it indirectly through a variety of ways,and seldom use it directly by turning over a book.In addition,teachers and students use the textbook exercises in a single mode,which will ignore part of the value of the textbook exercises.Research recommendations:Textbook writers must define the positioning of textbook exercises,enrich the types of textbook exercises,and focus on the connection between textbook exercises and actual life and teaching.Teachers should use the textbook exercises actively;give full play to the advantages of textbook exercises,and make up for shortcomings of textbook exercises with their own experience;pay attention to the operation,practice,open exercises;and give students timely feedback and guidance.Students should improve their initiative in using textbook exercises,develop ways to use textbook exercises,and give full play to the functions of textbook exercises.
