Against the background of chaos in the out-of-school piano education,this research is oriented towards qualitative research,and adopts another principle in the “purposeful sampling method” to investigate the education beliefs and behaviors of an out-of-school piano teacher.Though NVivo software analyzes the educational belief of the piano teacher outside the school,clarifies the educational behavior under the belief position,clarifies the relationship between educational belief and educational behavior,and explores the factors that affect the educational belief and educational behavior of the piano teacher outside the school.After investigating this teacher,the researchers found that the teacher's educational beliefs are manifested in four aspects: belief in education?belief in students? belief in teachers?and belief in curriculum,showing a student-centered and progressive characteristics of perspective.Among them,the belief in education is expressed as that education is "full person" education?piano education is emotional education,and the goal of piano education that is not biased towards technology,requires appreciation of education?gradual progress and "synchronization" with parents;The belief in students is expressed in the view that students are unique?students are autonomous?and students are mutual-feeding;The belief in teachers is expressed by teachers' professionalism ? teachers' interaction and teachers' developmental views;The belief in the curriculum is reflected in the following four aspects: students' auditory perception of music?knowledge and skills of piano playing? piano improvisation?interpretation of music and music-related culture,the teaching materials are not the most important,the content of the course needs both static presupposition and dynamic view.The teacher's educational behaviors is manifested in five aspects: the application of teaching principles,the choice of teaching content,the implementation of teaching methods,the selection of teaching evaluation,and the implementation of teaching strategies.Among them,the teaching principles are manifested in the application of the principle of teaching according to their aptitude and the principle of motivation-oriented;the teaching content is manifested in the content selection of quoting foreign textbooks and self-made textbooks;the teaching methods are manifested in the experience connection method,the situation experience method,the fun game method,the language art the implementation of the method;the performance of teaching evaluation is the choice of the national piano assessment test;the performance of teaching strategies is to provide students with a variety of activities,actively communicate with parents,and organize the implementation of teacher training.Through the description of individual teachers' educational belief and educational behavior,this paper summarizes their characteristics and compares their relations.By summing up the characteristics of individual teachers' educational beliefs and behaviors,It is found that the educational beliefs of individual teachers generally present the orientation of student-centered and progressive,and the educational behaviors generally present the progressive orientation.In addition,by comparing the teacher's educational beliefs and educational behaviors,Nvivio software was used to perform text cluster analysis on the contents of educational beliefs and educational behavior coding nodes.Through the Pearson correlation coefficient test,it was found that each educational behavior of a teacher has a strong correlation with certain educational beliefs,indicating that the teacher's educational beliefs are consistent with their educational behaviors,and educational beliefs affect the implementation of educational behaviors;At the same time,the teacher's educational behavior also affects the change of educational beliefs.When the gap between teacher's educational belief and educational behavior,the teacher will change the existing unreasonable educational beliefs.Therefore,it can be said that the teacher's educational beliefs and educational behaviors tend to be consistent and affect each other.However,due to the utilitarian social and cultural influences,the teacher's educational beliefs and behaviors have some conflicts in the choice of teaching material content and grade selection.Through the educational beliefs and behaviors of teachers' cases,it is concluded that the educational beliefs and behaviors of the case teachers are influenced by her own personality?family background?educational experience?teaching experience and manager identity,and the influence of external factors such as national policy,students' parents and utilitarian view of piano education.On this basis,in order to improve the educational beliefs and behaviors of out-of-school piano teachers,suggestions are put forward from three aspects: out-of-school piano teachers,piano training institutions and parents:Teachers should strengthen the role consciousness?improve their own quality?pay attention to teaching reflection?strengthen the cooperation with parents? pay attention to the choice of educational behavior;Piano training institutions should strengthen the teacher training exchange?improve the teacher evaluation system,and provide space for teacher development;Parents should change their utilitarian attitude and understand teachers' work.This research hopes to explore the highlights of teachers' educational beliefs and educational behaviors by describing the educational beliefs and educational behaviors of teacher cases,to make up for the lack of research on educational beliefs and educational behaviors of piano teachers outside the school,and to enrich the correlation between educational beliefs and educational behaviors.The theory provides certain guidance and reference for practitioners of piano education outside school.
