Objective:This study explored the relationship between resilience and loneliness of left behind children through different research methods. It is divided into two parts. The first part is meta-analysis on the relationship between resilience and loneliness based on the existing research. The second part is a longitudinal follow-up study on the left behind children group to explore the relationship between resilience and loneliness.Methods:(1)Study 1 searched the database with keywords and developed screening criteria.28 articles were included with a total sample size of 12882.Meta-analysis was conducted with CMA2.0.(2)Study 2 was conducted on the students of grade one in two middle schools in Jiangsu province, among them,320 are left-behind children and 212 are un-left-behind children.Three follow-up studies were conducted from December 2018 to October 2019 using the resilience scale and the childhood loneliness scale.December 2018 is T1,April 2019 is T2,and October2019 is T3.SPSS and Amos were used to analyze the collected data, and a model was established to explore the relationship between them.Results:(1)Study 1 through the meta-analysis of the relationship between resilience and loneliness,it is found that there is a significant negative correlation between resilience and loneliness(r=-0.435,p<0.001).(2)The results of study 2 show that, with the development of time, the resilience level of left behind children shows an upward trend, there is a significant gender difference in the loneliness of left behind children at T2 and T3,both of which show that the loneliness of boys is higher than that of girls, the cross lag model is established, and the loneliness at T1 can significantly negatively predict the resilience of T2 and T3.At the same time,T2's loneliness can significantly negatively predict T3's resilience(?~2/df=2.639,NFI=0.952,RFI=0.921,IFI=0.970,TLI=0.950,CFI=0.969,RMSEA=0.074),The interaction between resilience and loneliness of left behind children in three time points has dynamic variability, through gender contrast model,it is found that the cross lag model of resilience and loneliness of left behind children has gender difference, and loneliness of left behind boys in T1 can predict resilience at T2,The relationship between resilience and loneliness between T2 and T3 was predicted(?~2/df=1.513,NFI=0.948,RFI=0.919,IFI=0.982,TLI=0.971,CFI=0.981,RMSEA=0.057).And girls left behind children only have T2's resilience to predict T3's loneliness(?~2/df=1.260,NFI=0.951,RFI=0.920,IFI=0.990,TLI=0.982,CFI=0.989,RMSEA=0.043).Based on this, more specific guidance and suggestions are provided for the mental health education and intervention of left-behind children.Conclusion:(1)Through the meta-analysis of the relationship between individual resilience and loneliness,it is found that there is a significant negative correlation between individual resilience and loneliness;(2)Taking Xuzhou and Funing left behind children as the research objects,we carried out a follow-up study for 11 months with three intervals;(3)There were significant gender differences in the loneliness of left behind children at T2 and T3 time points, both of which showed that the loneliness of boys was higher than that of girls;(4)T1's loneliness can significantly predict T2's resilience,T2's resilience can significantly predict T3's resilience,T2's loneliness can significantly predict T3's resilience, and the interaction between left behind children's resilience and loneliness has dynamic change;(5)There are gender differences in the cross lag model of resilience and loneliness of left behind children.Specifically, among left behind boys, the loneliness of T1 can significantly negatively predict the resilience of T2,and the resilience and loneliness of T2 and T3 can predict each other. In left behind girls, there was no interaction between resilience and loneliness at T1,T2 and T3.
