The Analysis On Influential Factors Of Maize Production And Suggestions In Heilongjiang Province

People are the basic of the country,hunger breeds discontent,the problems of food production and security have always been the focus issue of national concern.In 2014,the CPC Central Committee,State Council emphasize the security of our food system in the file "opinions of deepening rural reform and accelerating the modernization of agriculture".Maize,the third largest crops as wheat and rice,plays a prominent role for our food safety system because of its important food use and industrial use.According to the development trend,the future demand for corn is the fastest growth and corn will be the largest potential crops in yield in China,thus,a good job of corn production is a key factor in promoting the sustained and stable development of China’s grain.The research on influential factors of maize production and suggestions has an important significance for discussing how to protect the food security in China.In this paper,factors affecting the maize production in Heilongjiang Province are the research object.Firstly,on the basic of organizing relevant concepts and theories,analyze the status of the maize production in Heilongjiang Province.Analyze the corn production scale,overall level and yield level in Heilongjiang Province from the three aspects of corn acreage,production and yield.On the basic of analyzing the regional advantage,use the method of comparative advantages analysis to analyze the scale advantages,efficiency advantages and comprehensive advantages of maize production in Heilongjiang Province.Results show that corn acreage and yield are relatively high in Heilongjiang Province,and with a upward trend.Heilongjiang has been became the China’s largest provinces in corn acreage and yield;Corn yield is volatile,but little change;Corn Production in Heilongjiang Province has location advantage,but the comparative advantage is not strong.Secondly,make a descriptive analysis on the influential factors of corn production in Heilongjiang Province from the three aspects of general factors,natural factors and policy factors.Analysis results show that,in general factors,chemical fertilizer,agricultural mechanization,agricultural infrastructure level,the amount of pesticide application,and rural electricity consumption are increasing year by year,but the cultivation of maize varieties,fertilizer application of science,the development and promotion of agricultural technology,mastery of the pesticide use and the quality of labor shortage have some shortages,unscientific fertilizer and pesticides have a negative impact on maize production;In natural factors,disaster area shows irregular movements,and has a negative impact on maize production,while warming in recent years has a positive beneficial effect on corn growth;Corn production subsidies have a positive effect on the corn production.Thirdly,use multivariate statistical analysis to make a quantitative analysis on the influential factors of corn production in Heilongjiang Province.Empirical results show that maize acreage in Heilongjiang Province,chemical fertilizer,agricultural machinery power,the effective irrigation area and pesticide application rate have a significant positive effect on corn yield;disaster area have a significant negative impact on corn yield;and agricultural plastic film and rural electricity usage have no significant influence on maize yield.Finally,propose suggestions promoting the maize production in Heilongjiang Province,contain:ensure corn acreage,promote the scale operation;apply fertilizers scientifically,achieve sustainable development;strengthen agricultural infrastructure construction,improve water conservancy construction management and protection mechanisms;raise the level of agricultural mechanization,develop modern agriculture;accelerate the development of new technologies,promote agricultural science and technology innovation;improve the quality of farmers,cultivate rural labor for the future.
