With the industrialization and the increasingly fierce market competition,how to reduce the manufacturing cost and improve the productivity efficiency has become a common topic in the automotive industry,especially in the automotive parts manufacturing companies.This paper porbes into the assembly plant in H company,which is the well-known domestic automobile plant supplier in China.Large models of electric fuel pumps and fuel pump assembly products are main products of this company.Based on onsite investigation in assembly workshop,the author attempts to reduce the waste in the logistics process,improve the efficiency of assembly line in H company.The main contents are as follows:Firstly,this paper describes the research background and its significance,research status of integrated production line balance,lean logistics and site improvements,and noting the study contents.Secondly,the status quo of assembly plant is described and analyzed.Based on the assembly plant overview,representative products are selected using the P-Q analysis method,then we analyze assembly plant logistics situation,assembly line status and personnel utilization,summarize the problem and establish improvement projects.Thirdly,improvements of assembly plant logistics are proposed.Based on the analysis of assembly plant logistics situation,we make use of ideological lean logistics imporving the standards of assembly plant materials for distribution processes,material containers and material handling equipment,in order to reduce the waste in products handling and avoid the occurrence of material compounding.Fourthly,efficiency improvements of assembly line are mentioned.We adopt flow analysis to improve the assembly line assembly process from the perspectives of lean production,which is based on the analysis results of assembly lines and personnel utilization.It will reduce the handling distance away from the assembly line,increase assembly line productivity and effective operating time of workers.Finally,conclusions are given and research problems are proposed on the above.
