Differences In Factors Affecting Service Industry Development Among Regions In China

Based on the data of 31 provinces in China from 2005 to 2014,this paper constructs a set of inter-provincial panel data models to test the impact of higher education,urbanization,FDI,saving rate and trade independence on structure evolution of service industry?Meanwhile,through the introduction of binomials of saving rate and trade independence,this paper hopes to measure the differences of critical values between saving rate and trade independence.This paper draws the following conclusions from the full sample regression and the sample regression model:human capital as an important symbol of the current national competitiveness,the impact on the development of China's service industry is not very important;human capital development does not promote the development of China's service industry.The growth of human capital in the eastern and central regions has constrained the development of the local service industry.On the contrary,the development of human capital in the western region has promoted the development of the local service industry.The process of urbanization has a positive effect on the overall development of China's service industry,but this effect is obviously different in different regions.Foreign direct investment has a negative effect on the service industries in eastern,central and western China.The level of saving and the degree of trade openness have a significant binomial effect on the development of China's service industry.A moderate saving rate is conducive to the development of regional service industry in China,but an excessive saving level is unfavorable to the growth of service industries in the eastern,central and western China.A relatively low level of trade dependence plays an active role in the development of China's service industry,but a high degree of dependence will hinder the development of China's eastern and western service industries.Through studying the internal mechanism of the scale and structure evolution of China's service industry,this paper puts forward practical suggestions for the transformation of China's economic growth mode,the adjustment of industrial structure and the development of service industry in the process of industrialization maturity.
