Study On The Influences Of The Social Capital On Rural Financial Development In Ethnic Region

The unique social,cultural,and geographical environment,makes the rural financial development of ethnic regions are less developed than other regions,thus conducive to rural economic development of ethnic regions.At the same time,for poor farmers of the ethnic regions,they are unable to provide the mortgage and guarantee,then excluded from the financial service system.Severe financial exclusion,on the one hand,hindered the local farmers get rid of poverty and become better off.On the other hand is more conducive to the rural financial development of ethnic regions.Looking for the methods to promote rural financial development of ethnic regions and increase farmers' income are the key points.Existing studiesthink that social capital can through people's social relation network,trust,reciprocal norms and other informal constraints mechanism,to improve people's trust and cooperative relations.It will reduce transaction costs,and restrict opportunism tendency.Thus improve the efficiency of financial transactions,and promote the development of rural finance in ethnic regions.This paper studies the characteristics of social capital of ethnic regions,and put forward to penetrate the financial resources to the poor by social capital,improving financial poverty alleviation,and eventually promote the financial development of ethnic regions.Based on social capital theory as a research tool,and the rural financial development of ethnic regions as the research object.First,through the social capital theory to analyze the mechanism of financial development.Second,indicating the status of the financial development of ethnic regions,and the influence factors of financial development of ethnic regions.By the survey of 405 rural households in Yunnan province,the empirical analysis on the influences of different dimensions of social capital on rural household loans availability and the efficiency of financial institutions.Last,puts forward the concrete measures of how to use social capital to promote of financial development of ethnic regions.
