Research On Institutional Environment,Degree Of Internationalization And Innovation Performance

With the development of globalization,enterprise internationalization has become an important strategy to obtain the innovation impetus.But academics argued for the relationship between the internationalization and innovation performance.Some scholars believe that there may be a positive or negative correlation between internationalization and innovation performance,however,some scholars believe that there is a non-linear relationship between them,such as S-shaped,U-shaped or inverted U-shaped.One of the important reasons is the lack of attention and analysis of the situational conditions which affect the relationship between internationalization and innovation performance,and ignoring the adjustment factors of the relationship between them.Enterprises which in our country are in a period of economic transformation,facing a unique domestic institutional environment and market environment,and the formation of the international strategy and the impact on innovation performance will inevitably be affected by institutional factors.Ignoring these factors,internationalization may not achieve the desired effect.Therefore,in order to fully and scientifically understand the relationship between the degree of internationalization and innovation performance,it is necessary to study the influence of institutional environment on the relationship between the internationalization and innovation performance.Based on the sample of information technology enterprises listed in A-share from 2010 to 2015.From the perspective of institutional environment,using Poisson's fixed-effect model to examine the relationship between the degree of internationalization and innovation performance,and the regulation effect of institutional environment on the relationship between them.The results of the study show that the degree of internationalization is positively correlated with innovation performance and the institutional environment is significantly positive to adjust the relationship between them.In view of this,companies should actively cultivate and bring in international talents to quickly increase the level of internationalization;when carrying out internationalization activities,it is necessary not only to focus on the improvement of internationalization in quantity,but also to focus on the improvement of quality and establish its own unique international brand to increase the added value of products,and to quickly and effectively improve the company's innovation performance;the government should also strive to improve the establishment of the domestic formal system,provide a solid backing for enterprises to "go global ".A good formal system can effectively reduce the consumption of corporate resources by the informal system,provide more resources for the company's internationalization strategy,and help increase the company's innovation output.The innovation point of this paper is mainly reflected in the new perspective of research.The research on the degree of internationalization and innovation performance in the previous literature mainly focused on whether internationalization affects innovation performance and how affects innovation performance.However,the exploration of the adjustment factors that affect the relationship between them is insufficient,and there is a lack of attention and analysis on the situational conditions that affect the relationship between internationalization degree and innovation performance.
