Under the background of economic globalization and the rapid update of information technology,enterprises are facing a fierce competitive environment.How to improve the competitiveness of enterprises has become a topic of common concern in the academic and practical world.At present,enterprises have fallen into a social network,from the perspective of networks,there is an interdependent network relationship between enterprises and suppliers,customers,governments,technology alliances,and other external companies.This relationship helps enterprises understand the changing business environment and get the access to new knowledge to achieve the company's objectives of renovation and win lasting competitive advantage.Therefore,the good use of the external network has become an important way for enterprises to improve their competitiveness.At present,in order to adapt to the changing business environment,the competition among enterprises has become increasingly fierce.Enterprises must build and improve their own external networks,make full use of external networks to acquire new knowledge,and rationally allocate new and old knowledge to transform them into organizational change capacity,and finally strengthen the competitiveness of enterprises.Based on the related theories and literature,this paper establishes the theoretical model: the external network as the independent variable,organizational change capacity as the intermediary variable,and enterprise competitiveness as the dependent variable,and puts forward 16 research hypotheses,and takes the enterprises in Shandong Province as the research object,using the software SPSS23.0 to carry out the empirical analysis and hypothesis verification with the collected 255 sample data by questionnaires,and obtains the results of the study as follows: First,there is a significant positive effect between the company's external network and enterprise competitiveness: horizontal network has a positive impact on the company's innovation ability and profitability;vertical network also has a positive effect on the company's innovation ability and profitability.Secondly,the external network of enterprises has a significant positive impact on organizational change capability: horizontal network and vertical network all have a positive impact onorganizational change capability.Thirdly,there is a significant positive impact between organizational change capability and enterprise competitiveness: organizational change capability have a positive impact on the company's innovation ability and profitability.Fourthly,organizational change capability has a partial intermediary role between the external network and enterprise competitiveness.Among them,organizational change capability plays a partial intermediary role between horizontal network and innovation capability and profitability;and organizational change capability plays a partial intermediary role between vertical network and innovation capability and profitability.This study incorporates external network,organizational change capability,and enterprise competitiveness in a research framework.With the research,theoretically,it not only enriches and perfects the influence mechanism of the external network on enterprise competitiveness,but also improves the theory research of organizational change capability,and also provides a reference for the future research.In practice,it provides the reference for enterprises in Shandong province how to use the external network to improve their innovation ability and profitability,and thus improve their competitiveness.Enterprises should fully understand the importance of organizational change capability and improve the competitiveness of enterprises by improving this capability.
