As far as reality is concerned, any organization can not exist independently, but has mutual influence on its external environment and which is an interdependent system. Especially in recent years, the enterprise organization faces the uncertainty of external environment which is more dynamic, more confrontational and more complex than ever. The uncertainty of external environment increases the decision and control risks of enterprise management, and it has profound influence on the practice activities of enterprise organization management. The adaptability between environment change and enterprise organization has become the one of the basic problems in the field of strategic management. Therefore, further studying the effect mechanism about external environment on the enterprise organization and the relationship between the adaptability of organization and environment and enterprise performance can not only enrich strategic management theoretically, but also has great significance in helping the enterprise correctly and comprehensively understand and master the external environment and ensuring that the organization fast adapts to the change of external environment, and developing, maintaining and updating the competitive advantage can improve enterprise performance practicallyFollowing the research mode which is from environment to strategic change and to organization performance, this paper studies the influence that different types of external environment impact on the way of enterprise strategic organizational change by the date from 110 effective sample enterprises under the background of China transformation economic environment, and based on this research, the text studies the relationship between the different organizations response ways of external environment and enterprise performance.(1) The paper summaries and combs the related literatures of enterprise external environment, strategic organization changes, enterprise performance first, and found that the researchers have carried on much beneficial attempts and summaries. For enterprise external environment, the most representative researches are from three angles which is complexity, dynamics and hostility; For strategic organizational change, researchers conduct the research from three aspects which is connotation question, the reasons of changes and the theory of model, but the later researches use the variables, such as speed and scope; For enterprise performance, it is measured by the financial indicators and non-financial indicators. On the basis of the above research, this article begins from the ability of enterprise replying to environmental changes, then develops the study based on basic elements of external dynamics and hostility of environment, the speed and scope of strategic organizational change and enterprise financial performance and non-financial performance.(2) On the basis of qualitative analysis, this study constructs research model and puts forward the assumptions:Assumption H1: The stronger the dynamics of external environment is, the fast the change speed of enterprise strategic organization is.Assumption H2: The stronger the dynamics of external environment is, the bigger the change scope of enterprise strategic is.Assumption H3: The stronger the hostility of external environment is, the fast the change speed of enterprise strategic organization is.Assumption H4: The stronger the hostility of external environment is, the bigger the change scope of enterprise strategic organization is.Assumption H5: The more the adaptability between the change way of strategic organization and the characteristics of external environment, the better enterprise financial performance is.Assumption H6: The more adaptability between the change way of strategic organization and the external environment characteristics, the better enterprise non-financial performance is.(3) Designing questionnaire and collecting samples. The paper analyzes the date by the methods of the software SPSS13.0, using descriptive statistics analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability and validity analysis, cluster analysis and linear regression analysis. Through the exploratory factor analysis founds that the hostility of external environment shows three factors structure, and the dynamics of external environment and enterprise non-financial performance show four factors structure, and the change speed and scope of strategic organization show double factors structure, but enterprise financial performance shows single factor structure. The results from correlation analysis indicate that the factors of enterprise strategic organizational change and the factors of the dynamics and hostility of external environment have the related relationship. On this basis, through the multivariate linear regression analysis, the paper explores that each environmental factor impacts on each factor of change speed and scope of strategic organization and their adaptability impacts on each factor of enterprise non-financial performance and financial performance.(4) The empirical results indicate that in general trend the dynamics and hostility of external environment plays a positive influence on the change speed of enterprise strategic organizational change, and also has a positive influence on the change scope of enterprise strategic organization. This means that the external environment that the organization perceives is more unrest and threater, the enterprise needs to enhance more sensitivity to external environment, and the enterprise need to make rapid and substantial reaction with the change of external environment so as to strain in the adverse environment. Conforming to this trend, the enterprise will have better non-financial performance. The enterprise that has better non-financial performance has some prominent characteristics such as active adjustment, demanding orientation and internal consistency when it promots the change of enterprise strategic organization. But, in the influence that the flexibility between external environment and the change of enterprise strategic organization impacts on enterprise financial performance, it does not find the obvious relationship between the flexibility and enterprise financial performance.(5) Above the summary of general validation of the research hypotheses, the paper puts forward the influence mechanism model that the different aspects of dynamics and hostility of external environment impact on the changes of enterprise strategic organization and the function mechanism model that its adaptability impacts on enterprise performance relationship, and points out the three contribution that is studied in this paper, meanwhile it analyzes the existing limitations of the research, finally it prospects the further expand research in this area.
