Study On The Gaozhou City Peanut Industry Development

In today's agricultural production has attracted much attention,the development of peanut industry in Gaozhou City is of great significance,is conducive to agricultural production in Gaozhou City,to promote increased incomes of farmers,improve people's living standards.Based on the literature review of peanut industry both at home and abroad,guided by transaction cost theory and industrialization of agriculture,this paper described the status quo of peanut planting and consumption in Gaozhou,analyzed the planting efficiency using DEA model,and based on SWOT analysis The comprehensiveness of the method sums up the internal advantages and disadvantages as well as the external opportunities and threats of the current peanut industry in Gaozhou City,and obtains the following main conclusions:Firstly,since the 21 st century,the planting area of peanuts has risen fluctuately.The improvement in the yield of peanuts based on technological improvements such as biotechnology and agricultural machinery has led to an overall increase in peanut production in recent decades.Secondly,from the historical trend,the current Gaozhou City peanut planting efficiency is optimal,and the scale of compensation is in a constant stage.Thirdly,the total output value of peanuts in Gaozhou City currently stands at RMB 420 million,which shows an upward trend year by year.However,its proportion of the output value of planting industry is not high,and it needs to draw further attention and support from the relevant government departments.Fourth,since the 21 st century,the overall consumption of peanuts has been on a rising trend,and the self-sufficiency rate has shown an overall "M" shape change.At present,peanut consumption is mainly used for oil extraction,followed by direct consumption and once again for seed use.Fifth,the current internal advantages of the Gaozhou City peanut industry development are: suitable climatic conditions,good geological advantages,continuous improvement of transportation facilities and e-commerce services,and continuous improvement of planting techniques;internal disadvantage is the added value of peanut processing products.Not high,the scale of operations is decentralized,and planters are aging.Sixth,the current external opportunities for the development of peanut industryin Gaozhou City are economic status advantages,government attention and support,and huge market demand;external threats are food safety issues and soybean oil crop competition.The further development of peanut industry in Gaozhou City should recognize the current status of supply and demand and make reference to the advanced experience of peanut industry at home and abroad based on the existing problems:introduce new varieties and establish large-scale production bases,specialized production and market-oriented management,Investment to create leading enterprises and brand-name products,pay attention to environmental protection and ecological benefits,guide and train new farmers.As a result,the market competitiveness of peanut products will be further enhanced,the net income of peanut industry will be increased,peasants will increase their incomes and raise the living standard of peasants.
