The Impact Of Industrial Development On Regional Urban System

The development and evolution of the urban system is the mapping of regional industry development in the geographical space.With the continuous deepening of the regional economic division of labor and specialization,the flow of elements and structural changes based on industrial activities have continuously promoted the process of regional urbanization,which has led to tremendous changes in the spatial organization within cities and between cities,forming regional characteristics.Urban system.The study of regional urban system from the perspective of industrial development helps to understand the response of the geographical distribution of the city to industrial activities,deeply understand the development and evolution rules of the urban system,grasp the process of regional urbanization,and promote the development of regional coordination and integration.Based on the analysis of the impact of industrial development on the urban system,the study selected Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone(hereinafter referred to as “the Blue Zone”)as a case study area,and comprehensively used basic mathematical analysis,quantitative analysis,and gravitational model,etc.The system's hierarchical scale,functional structure,and spatial structure are analyzed in three aspects.The main contents include:Analyze the impact of industrial development on the scale of the urban system.While separately expounding the respective development status of industrial development and urban system,the development panel data of 34 secondary and tertiary industries in the Blue Zone are used as the representative indicators of industrial development,and the urban population and built-up area are selected as the standard for the classification of urban scale.Analyze the causal relationship between the industrial development of the Blue Zone and the scale of each city.Granger causality test results show that the scale of the existing urban system in the Blue Zone is the result of industrial development.Industrial development promotes the scale of various cities in the urban system.The evolution.Analyze the impact of industrial development on the functional structure of the urban system.According to the industrial classification of economic activities,the function types of the cities in the Blue Zone are determined,and the evaluation index system of the comprehensive functions of the blue cities is constructed.The panel data analysis results of the correlation between the industrial development and the urban functions show that the industrial development influences the choice of the urban dominant functions and the comprehensive functions are improved.It has a positive effect on the evolution of urban functions in the Blue Zone,especially the promotion of the tertiary industry is even more significant.Analyze the impact of industrial development on the spatial pattern of urban systems.Using the gravitational model of interaction between regions,a gravitational model of inter-city industrial linkage strength was constructed,and a blue-zone urban system spatial pattern based on the strength of industrial linkage was generated,and was further verified through the passenger flow and logistics data between cities in the Blue Zone.The intensity of industrial linkages between cities is consistent with the spatial pattern of the current blue-zone urban system.Based on the intensity of industrial linkages,the evolution of the spatial pattern of blue-zone urban systems can be effectively characterized.In general,the study focuses on the analysis of the influence of industrial development in the Blue Zone on the regional urban system and reveals the relationship between industrial development and regional cities.The results of this study can provide decision support for the construction and future development of the blue urban system.
