Since 2003,China's foreign investment has increased year by year,especially in recent years,accompanied by the rise of foreign engineering contracting,"China built" all over the world,based on "one belt one road" and other national strategies"going out" is becoming more and more important to domestic Enterprises to seek survival and development,therefore the transportation demand for international engineering are increasingly strong and diversified.International engineering and transport contains two natures which are international trade and engineering transportation,it concludes long transport chain,multiple transport nodes,and multi-sectoral coordination of the joint operation,accompanying risk type is also diversified.Based on the analysis of typical international engineering litigation cases,this paper studies three main risks in transportation which are the transportation risk carrier risk and trade term risk and put forward the procedures to avoid the mentioned risks.Chapter 1 concludes the background and literature review;Chapter 2 introduces the importance of risk management to international engineering transportation;The third chapter mainly analyzes the reasons of transportation technology risks which contains the cargo packing colligation and other standards,the unclear definition of carrier's period of responsibility and unclear carrier's identity causes the carrier risk,in the final of this chapter introduces the misemploy of trade termers resulted in the transportation risk out of trading protection.According to the analyzing of chapter 3,chapter 4 give out the counter solutions,firstly cargo owner should formulated it own standards of packing and colligation and other area in transportation itself Secondly cargo owner should clear the difference of "actual delivery" and "documents delivery"combine with the stipulation of "Marine Law" terms 46 and 81 to define the actual period of carrier's responsibility meanwhile cargo owner should distinguish the service type which provided by carriers then define the relationship between cargo owner and carrier.Thridly cargo owner should comply with the demand of developing transportation skills by using more trading terms flexibly instead of staying at FOB or CIF,typically for international engineering transportation category D in Incoterms(?)2010 is more suitable.By the end of this article there is a proposal which suggests according to AHP risk analyzing method to summarize all risks above in the projects.
