| As the competitive advantage of Chinese equipment manufacturing strengthens,the pace of Chinese general contractors to go global is getting stronger.The rapid development of Chinese engineering contracting business has played an important role in driving local economic,promoting the transformation and upgrading of the domestic economy,deepening international cooperation in production capacity.The international engineering logistics management is one of the important work contents of international engineering project management.In recent years,with the complex evolution of the international situation and the wanton spread of the Covid-19 epidemic,international engineering logistics management has encountered problems such as blocked logistics channels,reduced logistics efficiency,and sharply increased shipping costs.These problems have severely impacted the global supply chain and have posed greater challenges to the logistics management.EPC project is one of the main ways chosen by Chinese engineering general contracting enterprises.Under such an external environment,how to prevent the external risk of international EPC project logistics and control the loss and harm that the risk cause to enterprises is a topic worthy of study.This thesis studies the research status of the international engineering logistics,the international engineering logistics management,the risk management and the external risk management of international engineering EPC project logistics at home and abroad by consulting the literature on the logistics risk of international engineering EPC project,and masters the methods of identifying and evaluating the external risks of international engineering EPC project logistics.According to the small internal risk and the complex external environment of Myanmar biomass power generation EPC project logistics,this thesis chooses Myanmar project as an example to identify,analyze and evaluate the external risks of EPC project logistics of international engineering,and puts forward corresponding coping strategies for important risk factors.Firstly,the thesis uses the Expert Investigation Method to identify 5 categories external risk factors,including politics risk,policy risk,market risk,economy risk and natural environment risk,and to identify 15 sub-categories of external risk factors,such as regime stability risk,price fluctuation risk and exchange rate fluctuation rick.Secondly,the thesis uses the Matrix Analysis Method to analyze the possibility of these external risks and the impact of these external risk factors on the project logistics and the overall goal of the project.Thirdly,according to the impact,the thesis uses the Analytic Hierarchy Process to evaluate these external risk factors and get the ranking of risk levels.Finally,according to the results of external risk analysis and evaluation,the system of project risks management and the risk appetite of the project,the thesis proposes a measure for the risk of the stability of the government,the risk of price and the risk of exchange rate in the top three types of risks,and suggests that the general contractor should enhance their awareness of risk management,improve their risk management ability,do a good planning before the event,strengthen supply chain coordination at present and summarize after the event when managing the external risk of international engineering EPC project logistics.It is hoped that it can provide ideas for the company’s management improvement and the smooth development of other projects,and can also provide other Chinese enterprises with experiences in the implementation of international engineering logistics risk management. |
