Occupational pension also known as employer pension or supplementary pension insurance,it was first established in the United States after the Revolutionary War in 18 th century,until the end of 19 th century,the occupational pension plan has only gradually developed and expanded,as the public demand date increases,the occupational pension plan has established the perfect operation mechanism in the European and American countries.It has been widely welcomed by employers and employees.China's occupational pension has been through decades of exploration and development.The State Council issued the decision on the Reform of the Endowment Insurance system for Enterprise employees,it first put forward the idea of establishing a "multi-level" social security system.The decision of "multi-level" refers to: basic endowment insurance?enterprise supplementary pension insurance,worker individual savings endowment insurance.The goal of "multi-level" old-age security is gradually developing and consummating.During this period,the basic old-age insurance in our country has developed rapidly,but the second pillar of occupational pension has not been brought into full play.There is still room for improvement.In this paper,from the perspective of human resources and economics,the necessity of establishing occupational pension in China is described.At the same time,by reviewing the development process of occupational pension in China,combining with the reality of the development of occupational pension in China.Taking the long-term social development of social security as the starting point,this paper rationally analyzes the difficulties existing in the development of occupational pension in China,and according to the actual data of the occupational pension market in China.Draw on the experience of developed countries in Europe and the United States over the past half century,including the development status and mature experience of the "US 401 K Scheme" and the "Hong Kong MPF Scheme".Some suggestions for further development of occupational pension in China are put forward.
