Study On The Current Situation,Problems And Countermeasures Of The Characteristic Agriculture In Jiangtun Town

Characteristic agriculture is an effective way to realize the needs of the adjustment of agricultural structure,to revitalize the rural economy and promote the continuous increase of farmers’ income.As a typical agricultural town in the west of Guangdong Province,Jiangtun town in Guangning county has the natural environment and resource advantages of developing characteristic agriculture.And it has great developmental potential for Asparagus schoberioides Kunth,Forsythia viridissima Lindl,Camellia oleosa Rehd,Dried sweet potato,Yuba.The development of characteristic agriculture not only affects the development direction of agriculture in the town,but also affects the development of rural economy and the increasing of farmers’ income.So,it is of great practical significance to promote the development of characteristic agriculture in Jiangtun town.Through the relevant documents and materials searching,interview and meeting,and field investigation,this paper summarized the main achievements and the constraints of the characteristic agriculture development in Jiangtun Town based on the analysis of the related theories of characteristic agriculture.Then,this paper set up the evaluation index system for the development of the characteristic agriculture from five aspects of resource elements,basic elements,auxiliary elements,development elements and competitive elements,and recognized and analyzed the main elements using the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)and Fuzzy Mathematics methods.The evaluation results showed that the main factors affecting the development of characteristic agriculture in the town are basic elements and competition elements.This paper also summarized important problems of the characteristic agriculture development in Jiangtun town,including the backward of water conservancy infrastructure and low mechanization level,small production enterprises and lack of scientific management,low technological content and short chains of product,slower industrialization and inadequate marketing systems,and the insufficient government support and lack of financing services.Finally,based on the current conditions andsituations of characteristic agriculture in Jiangtun town,a series of countermeasures to develop characteristic agriculture were put forward:(1)to strengthen the construction of water conservancy infrastructure and raise the level of agricultural mechanization production;(2)to strengthen the development awareness of the characteristic agriculture and improve the management system;(3)to increase investment in science and technology and develop the deep processing of characteristic agriculture products;(4)to expand the sales channels by using the Internet plus and improve the marketing system;(5)to implement brand strategy to promote the popularity of characteristic agriculture in Jiangtun town;(6)to combine with tourism to develop characteristic agriculture leisure tourism;(7)to increase financial support and rural financial services;(8)to promote the various development modes of characteristic agriculture and speed up the large-scale development of characteristic agriculture.
