Under the background of the 4.0 development of China's industrial strategy, the international trade development of China's manufacturing industry has come to a new opportunity, but it also faces the challenge and impact of low carbon trade barriers.Coupled with the fact that the domestic economy is at a stage where growth is shifting, the period of structural adjustment is painful, and the pre-stimulus policy is being digested,China will certainly face the reality of the transition and upgrading of green and low-carbon trade in promoting the trade development between "Made in China" and "Created in China."In this paper, literature review, empirical analysis and comparative analysis are used to explore the impact of carbon tariffs on the export competitiveness of China's manufacturing industry, taking Chinese manufacturing as a sample.First, the concept of carbon tariff and export trade competitiveness is defined, and its theoretical sources are analyzed. Then, from the comparative advantage and competitive advantage theory, the impact mechanism of carbon tariffs on the competitiveness of export trade of the industry was analyzed.Based on the existing status and analysis and research,an indicator system for the competitiveness of manufacturing carbon tariffs and export trade was constructed and panel data was used. The model provides empirical research and further analyzes the impact mechanism of carbon tariffs on the competitiveness of industrial export trade. The empirical results show that: first, carbon tariff has a negative impact on the export competitiveness of the manufacturing industry;second, the export of various sectors of the manufacturing industry under different carbon tariff rates. The influence of the difference in the trade competitiveness shows that the carbon tariff expropriation has a more significant impact on the high carbon industry in China.Third, under the state of comparative advantage and competitive advantage gradually lost in China, the promotion of labor and capital cost can only further reduce the level of export competitiveness of the manufacturing industry, and by increasing the technology research and development, the conversion will be changed.Enterprise production mode, taking intensive path to enhance production efficiency, can buffer the negative impact brought by carbon tariff collection. In order to minimize the negative impact of carbon tariffs on the competitiveness of China's manufacturing export trade, this paper considers that our manufacturing enterprises should implement the cost leading and technology leading export trade strategy in the global trade, and drive green with the intensification of production mode under the progressive loss of comparative advantage. The color trade is developing, and our government should actively participate in the formulation of carbon emission standards so as to create favorable terms of trade.
