With the problem of global warming becoming more and more serious, dealing with aseries of problems of climate change has become the focus of international attention, lowcarbon economy that aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions has become more andmore attention by the governments. Therefore, in the low carbon economy background,Europe and the United States and other developed countries in order to make up for carbondioxide emissions to commits to the country’s production of carbon intensive productinternational competitiveness, put forward a border regulatory tax, namely carbon tariffs.Proposed carbon tariffs makes the foreign trade environment in jiangsu province facing thehuge impact. But, whether In the face of pressure from the international community or inorder to meet the needs of sustainable development of jiangsu province, under thebackground of the current implementation of the carbon tariffs, Jiangsu province mustconstantly optimize the export commodity structure, transform the growth mode ofexternal trade and vigorously develop service trade and green trade to actively respond tothe implementation of the carbon tariffs in the world. Based on the above background,The full text is divided into five chapters to systematically formulate the influence ofmanufactured goods’ export structure in jiangsu province after the implementation of thecarbon tariffs. The first chapter is introduction, the paper mainly explains the research backgroundand meaning, determines the research ideas, research methods, the article structure, the main innovation points and the insufficiency. The second chapter mainly discusses the related theories and literature review aboutthe carbon tariffs. First of all, discuss and define the four main carbon footprintcalculation method which are carbon emissions, per capita carbon emissions, carbonemissions intensity and implicit carbon, geting the world generally recognized method is the implicit carbon calculation method to calculate the carbon emissions of foreign trade,In addition, the paper also defines the concept of carbon tariffs; Then analyze the exporttrade influence mechanism of the carbon tariffs from two aspects of the price effect andenvironmental regulation effect; Finally from the two aspects of implicit carbon emissionsin the trade and the relationship between carbon emissions and export trade do theliterature review. The third chapter mainly discusses the present situation of the structure of the exportof manufactured goods in Jiangsu province and carbon emissions. First of all, analyzingthe present situation of the export of manufactured goods in jiangsu province to know thatat present the export of manufactured goods are also giving priority to textile; Secondlywith the application of input-output method to calculate the implicit carbon emissions ofthe export finished products in jiangsu province to know which are high carbon emissionsin manufactured goods; Finally, according to the structure of the export of manufacturedproducts and implicit carbon emissions in the production process to know the shortage ofthe structure of the export of manufactured products in jiangsu province. The fourth chapter mainly from the point of view of the empirical analysis analyze thecarbon tariffs on the structure of the export of manufactured products in jiangsuprovince. In considering the case of these five factors of tariffs, the overseas demand, export cost, exchange rate and technology we use multiple linear regression model toanalyze the influence degree of all the factors for the export of manufactured products injiangsu province. We design the model under the situation of considering carbon tariffs andnot considering carbon tariffs. We draw the relevant conclusions, and makecorresponding interpretation about the conclusion. The fifth chapter mainly discusses the the structure of the export of manufacturedproducts of countermeasures in jiangsu province in considering carbon tariffs. In the basisof the quantitative analysis of the fourth chapter we respectively propose thecountermeasures of the structure of the export of manufactured goods in Jiangsu provincefrom the government’s macro level and micro level of industry enterprises.
