Shandong Province's Producer Service Industry Promotes Manufacturing Upgrade Research

The producer service,a middle input industry,is characterized by knowledge,technology,and capital intensity,and can directly provide professional and high-quality services to the manufacturing.It is an important driving force for enhancing the competitiveness of manufacturing.And it plays a crucial role in manufacturing upgrading.Based on the development of industrial economy in Shandong Province,this paper studies the impact of producer services on manufacturing upgrades.Firstly,it explains the theoretical mechanism of promoting manufacturing upgrading in producer services from the theory of the industrial division,value chain,and industrial interaction.It points out that the producer service can promote the manufacturing upgrades by improving the production efficiency,lowering the internal transaction costs,and improving the level of manufacturing innovation capabilities.Then,the industry category of Shandong Province's producer service is defined by calculating the intermediate demand rate.It concludes that producer service includes transport,storage and postal,wholesale and retail trades,information transmission computer services and software,finance and insurance,leasing and business services,scientific research and comprehensive technology services.The analysis of the development status found that the development of the producer service is unbalanced,and the development space of modern producer services is relatively large.The overall scale of the manufacturing industry continues to expand,but the contribution of high-tech manufacturing to the economy is relatively low,and the structure of the manufacturing industry needs further optimization.On the above basis,regression models were built to empirically analyze the impact of the producer services on the upgrading of manufacturing.It was found that the overall development level of the producer service has significantly promoted the overall upgrading of the manufacturing industry in Shandong Province.The impact of traditional producer services and modern producer services in the upgrading of different factor-intensive manufacturing is different.The role of each sub-sector in the upgrading of different factor-intensive manufacturing also differs.Based on the empirical analysis results,combined with the development status of the two industries in Shandong Province,the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the development of producer services and manufacturing were proposed.From the perspective of the government,it is necessary to develop the modern productive service industry and upgrade the overalldevelopment level of the producer service industry.At the same time,coordinating and reorganizing low factor-intensive manufacturing industries to upgrade the industrial structure of the manufacturing industry.In addition,establish an interactive development platform for producer services and manufacturing.At the industry level,it is necessary to maintain the development of transport,storage and postal,wholesale and retail trades,increase the development of information transmission computer services,scientific research and comprehensive technology services,and comprehensive technology service industries,and standardize the development of the finance and insurance,leasing and business services.
