Analysis On Spatial-temporal Characteristics And Driving Mechanisms Of Urban Tourism Efficiency In Guangdong Province

Urban tourism plays an important role in optimizing the structure of employment,improving infrastructure construction and broadening the channel of employment.With the rapid tourism development in our country,the government attaches great importance to improving the tourism efficiency.This paper employ the Bootstrap-DEA model to analyze tourism development efficiency and the change of total factor productivity in the 21 cities of Guangdong Province during 2001-2014,and analyzes the spatial-temporal characteristics of the urban tourism efficiency through spatial statistical analysis by Moran's I and Geary'C,and using a geographically weighted regression(GWR)model which includes spatial heterogeneity to analyze the efficiency.The results show that it is necessary to use Bootstrap-DEA.From the point view of mathematical feature of efficiency,urban tourism efficiency level was different significantly in Guangdong Province,the province as a whole has relatively high Urban Tourism efficiency,but the efficiency is changing to an inefficient stage.And the spatial-temporal characteristics of the urban tourism efficiency of Guangdong Province has evolved from irrelevant to relevant during 2001-2014 of the overall situation.There is an obvious local clustering trend for urban tourism efficiency in local.The GWR model based on bi-square weighted function exhibited better model goodness and explaining ability.The Moran scatter plots of the urban tourism efficiency is used as a reference.Compared with the traditional ordinary least square model based on ‘stationary hypothesis embedding',the geographical weighted regression model(GWR)was based on ‘non-stationary' reveals more profound spatial differentiation of factors.Based on the above research,the scheme of spatial strategic pattern optimization of urban tourism,namely,‘five sections of tourism in Guangdong' is discussed and a differentiation development strategy constructed.Thus,the findings reveal that GWR can efficient reconstruct the spatial-temporal nonstationary of the driving mechanism of urban tourism efficiency to investigate its driving mechanism.
