With the rapid development of China's economy and the improvement of people's living standards,outbound tourism has become the main way for Chinese tourists to travel-Since 2013,China has become the world's first outbound tourism country,with 98.19 million outbound tourists and a total consumption of 558.2 billion RMB,making a tremendous contribution to the global tourism industry.China and Vietnam are not far away,have similar cultural backgrounds,and travel to Vietnam is often much cheaper than other countries.Therefore,Vietnam has become a major destination for Chinese tourists to travel.As a Vietnamese student,I chose to study the consumption behavior of Chinese tourists because I saw the outbreak of Chinese tourists going to Vietnam and the career opportunities in future.I study the consumption behavior of Chinese tourists,so as to understand the needs of tourists and the factors affecting their decision-making,which plays a positive role in the future development of Vietnam's tourism.Because nowadays Chinese tourists are the tourist income of many countries.This paper uses quantitative data method and questionnaire survey method to distribute questionnaires and interview Chinese tourists in three Vietnamese cities:Hanoi.Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City.After the questionnaires were collected,statistical methods were used to analyze the demographic' characteristics and consumption behavior of Chinese tourists to Vietnam.This thesis includes six parts:The first part is an introduction,including research background,purpose,meaning,content and method.Among them,the research methods used in this paper include literature review,questionnaire and statistical analysis.The second part is the literature review;through reading the research progress of scholars at home and abroad,the core concepts and basic theories including tourist behavior,tourism consumer behavior theory and tourism demand theory are briefly introduced,and the research in China and abroad is reviewed.The third part mainly studies the present situation of Chinese tourists traveling to Vietnam,including the situation of Chinese tourists outbound and the present situation of Chinese tourists traveling to Vietnam.In addition,investigate Vietnam's entry status,especially international tourist and Chinese tourist arrivals status of three tourism cities.The fourth part is the empirical analysis,first of all,the design of a questionnaire;secondly,the analysis of demographic characteristics and factors affecting the consumer behavior of tourists.Finally,the satisfaction of tourists is analyzed and SPSS is used to test whether there are differences in tourism facilities,services and images of tourists from different genders.The fifth part give suggestions to the Vietnamese government and relevant departments,so that Vietnam's tourism industry can fully play all its potential and improve the attractiveness of Vietnam's tourism environment,so that Vietnam's tourism industry can develop healthily.The sixth part is the summary and outlook,briefly describe the research results and suggestions of this paper;also point out the inadequacies of this paper and put forward the research prospects.This study finds that women travel to Vietnam more frequently than men in terms of demographic characteristics;they prefer to travel with their families;the age of major tourists is 30-49;and the occupation of tourists is the largest proportion of company employees.In terms of consumer behavior,Chinese tourists mainly choose self-guided tours;the vast majority of tourists arrive in Vietnam by airplane;stay longer(more than 4 days);most tourists say that their consumption of this tour is more than 7,000 yuan;Most tourists choose to go to more than two dest:inations in Vietnam and continue to travel to other Southeast Asian countries after traveling in Vietnam.Six factors in tour:ism preference:catering has been Vietnamese-style cuisine-based;choice of luxury hotels accounted for the majority;most of the choice of aircraft in Vietnam as a means of transportation for tourism;they prefer the beautiful beaches and islands of Vietnam when choosing their destinations;Chinese tourists buy the most products is foods and souvenirs.Compared to the six factors,the most important factor for Chinese tourists to spend in Vietnam is "stay".
