Since the 1990s,the public and the media have paid more and more attention to Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR).And CSR's significance to the development of the company has also expanded,which is regarded as the enterprise to enhance its market competitiveness.One of the important factors in the United States has even become the mainstay of many companies' public relations activities.At the same time,as an important indicator reflecting corporate performance evaluation,stakeholders' demand for CSR-related information disclosure has become stronger.Although the CSR issue has received a lot of attention from the global business community and academia,as a tourism company that has great dependence on the natural environment and the social environment,especially the hotel companies that are one of the three major industries,the concern for CSR remains It is very limited,and the research results in the academic field are also scarce.The specific practice exposes the lack of development of hotel companies in this field:the number of hotel companies that disclose is small and each company is one,and the disclosure content is insufficient.CSR report The development is not mature,the index system for hotel companies has not been established,and so on,especially the problems of what hotel companies are doing under the CSR slogan,how the implementation effect,and how the common performance between enterprises has achieved many problems in recent years.Stakeholder concerns.The purpose of this research is to understand the implementation status of hotel CSR through the analysis of the content of hotel corporate social responsibility report,focusing on the content and trend of CSR information disclosure of hotel groups.This paper first reviews the CSR mainstream literature and has a clearer understanding of CSR,tourism enterprise CSR,CSR information disclosure,and CSR report.Subsequently,the research method was explained,and the CSR activities of the hotel companies were coded and classified through the analysis of the contents of 44 CSR reports in 12 hotels.Then,while systematically analyzing and cross-analysing the topics and categories,the paper analyzes its development status and some of the trends reflected from the time dimension,and carries out the more mature and representative CSR measures under each theme.Description,and based on this proposed a hotel business CSR practice model.Finally,summarize the conclusions of the study and make recommendations for practice and future research.The specific research conclusions of this paper can be summarized as follows:(1)Overview of CSR practice of hotel companies from the perspective of theme and category:From the perspective of the theme,the three themes of labor,community and environment are the most prominent,accounting for 70%of the total.The other four themes are only partially concentrated..From the category analysis,the CSR practice activities of the hotel group mainly focus on three major categories of processes,materials and activities,and the total number of process measures always occupy the highest position in the category in the four-year sample.(2)This study analyzes the topic and the typical measures of the main categories under each theme.Through the deep excavation of the current practice status of each topic,the specific CSR practice with thematic features and hotel characteristics is revealed.See below for details.(3)Establishing a CSR practice model for hotel companies:Combining stakeholder theory,based on the analysis of the seven themes,extracts an internal factor,five stakeholders,two external factors,and uses its relationship with hotel companies to establish The CSR practice model visually demonstrates the key issues and practical portals that hotel group CSR practices need to focus on.(4)Analyze the topics and categories from the time dimension and draw conclusions:From the perspective of the theme,the labor,environment,and community have maintained a slight change in the rankings in the past four years,but they have always maintained the top three positions,and in 2013.The gap in the proportion between them has been shrinking in 2015.From the perspective of category,processes and materials have maintained the first and second positions for four years,and the development trend is basically the same:the peak value in 2015 is the highest,and the 2014 and 16 years are both lower than the previous year,and these two categories The number has gradually approached in four years.For the above analysis,we have summarized the following innovations of the study:(1)In the research of existing CSR information disclosure content,most of the methods are used to summarize the theme in the analysis process.This study directly uses IS026000 as a reference for subject research,and tries to dig deeper and concreteize each topic.The focus of hotel companies in each category,and try to analyze the relationship between the two,such research methods is an attempt to research the content of information disclosure,and further shift the focus to the deep excavation and summary of CSR content in the hotel industry.(2)In the research object,most of the research on corporate social responsibility in the past focused on the automobile and coal,which are closely related to energy consumption or tobacco,which is easy to cause public dislike.This research is based on the uniqueness of social responsibility of tourism enterprises.As a research object of corporate social responsibility information disclosure,hotel companies have broken through the current situation of corporate social responsibility information disclosure research.(3)Different from the statistical analysis or index analysis used in the previous CSR report research,this study chooses the content analysis method in the research method to encode,count and analyze the topics and categories involved in the report,not only to a certain extent.The application of content analysis methods in CSR information disclosure research has been expanded,and the research results have been more diversified.Through the above research,we will have a clearer and deeper understanding of the current CSR practice status of hotel companies,enrich the CSR research,and hope to give certain reference to the follow-up activities of hotel companies.
