The 19 th CPC National Congress has put “remarkable improvement of the proportion of middle-income groups” into the “two-step” strategy.With the rapid development of urbanization,middle-income families in urban has been increasing,at the same time,the number of potential middle-income people has also increased,which creates a huge housing demand.Compared with high-income families,middle-income families need to weigh in the decision-making process of purchasing houses,while middle-income families have certain consumption power in comparison with low-income families.At present,with the expansion of middle-income groups in China and the appearance of hot housing demand and high housing prices,the behavior of middle-income families in purchasing house has aroused wide concern in the society.Therefore,it is practically significant to study the influencing factors of the behavior of middle-income families in purchasing house.This paper takes middle-income families in Taiyuan,Shanxi Province as the research object.According to the middle-income standard proposed by Professor Li Peilin of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and by investigating the actual living status of middle-income families in Taiyuan City in purchasing houses,this paper analyzes the factors that affect the purchasing-house behavior of middle-income families in Taiyuan.In order to ensure valid research results,this paper used the following research methods:The first is literature analysis method.Based on the theory of residential decision-making in purchasing houses,this paper reviews the research of different schools on consumer housing consumption behavior that lays the theoretical foundation of this paper,and analyzes the factors that affect middle-income families' housing decision-making in Taiyuan;The second is regression analysis method.Combined with the specific behavioral tendency of middle-income families' decision-making of purchasing houses in Taiyuan,this paper selects independent variable that includes householder' education,householder' registration,employment status,working hours,residence time,family size,psychological attribution,psychological expectation,demand motivation,compulsory education,public transportation,medical services,park green space from three categories that are family character,psychological character and livable character.The third is empirical research method.This paper puts forward a binary Logit model of middle-income families' decision-making behavior of purchasing house in Taiyuan.Combined with the results of SPSS statistical analysis,this put forwards the relevant suggestions from the government to improve the housing security of middle-income families,from the real estate enterprises to meet middle-income families' housing needs and from middle-income families to make reasonable decisions of purchasing house.
