| China's economy has shifted from a stage of high-speed growth to a stage of high-quality development.In the period of China's rapid economic growth,economic growth mainly relies on the increase of input of production factors such as capital and labor.One is the efficiency brought by the labor force's transformation from agriculture to non-agricultural industries for reconfiguration,and the other is the rise of capital labor ratio brought by the increase of investment.The proportion of agricultural labor force in China has been reduced to a relatively low level,and the investment rate in China has reached a relatively high level.The economic transformation from relying on factor input to improving factor use efficiency is to improve the total factor productivity.Our country is the largest manufacturer.In 2015,the state council issued "made in China 2015",which clearly pointed out that China comprehensively promoted the strategy of becoming a manufacturing power,and emphasized that the manufacturing industry is the main body of the national economy.The key to China's economic transformation lies in the transformation of manufacturing industry.The core of the transformation from quantity to quality lies in the improvement of total factor productivity of manufacturing industry.This paper theoretically analyzes the influence of knowledge-intensive producer services agglomeration on TFP of manufacturing industry,and conducts an empirical analysis with 273 prefecture-level cities in China.The main contents and conclusions of the study are as follows:In the part of theoretical analysis,first of all,the characteristics of periodic interaction between productive service industry and manufacturing industry are analyzed:with the advancement of industrialization,the importance of knowledge-intensive producer service industry is highlighted.Secondly,this paper analyzes the influence path of knowledge-intensive producer services agglomeration on TFP of manufacturing from the effect of agglomeration,which is generally summarized as direct path and indirect path:(1)indirect path.As a high-level input factor of manufacturing industry,the improvement of the efficiency of the service industry brought by the clustering of knowledge-intensive producer services can indirectly promote the improvement of manufacturing efficiency.(2)direct path.Knowledge intensive production cluster drives the improvement of total factor productivity of regional manufacturing industry through knowledge spillover and deepening division of labor.Finally,the paper expounds the inner mechanism of spill-over effect from the perspective of information technology development,urban division and cooperation,and cross-regional flow of labor force.Empirical research section.The spatial correlation test found that there was a significant positive correlation between TFP of China's manufacturing industry and further constructed the spatial durbin model.The research found that:(1)the concentration of knowledge-intensive producer services not only had a significant promoting effect on the improvement of TFP of local manufacturing industry,but also had a significant spatial spillover effect.(2)there are regional differences in the 'influence of knowledge-intensive producer services agglomeration on TFP of manufacturing industry:the cluster of knowledge-intensive producer services in eastern region and central region has a significant promotion effect on TFP of manufacturing industry,and the promotion effect on eastern region is greater than that in central region.As the manufacturing industry is relatively backward in the western region,there is no effective demand for the knowledge-intensive producer services industry.The concentration of the knowledge-intensive producer services industry has a negative impact on the TFP of the manufacturing industry,and it is not significant.This result also reflects the importance of knowledge-intensive producer services to the development of manufacturing industry with the advancement of industrialization.(3)the influences of knowledge-intensive producer services agglomeration on TFP of manufacturing industry are different from each other:the financial industry,scientific research,technical service and geological survey industry,leasing and commercial service agglomeration all have positive promoting effects on TFP of manufacturing industry,among which the financial industry has the strongest promoting effect on TFP of manufacturing industry.The impact of information transmission,computer services and software on manufacturing TFP is negative and insignificant.Finally,based on the above analysis,the research conclusions and policy recommendations are put forward. |
