Throughout the development of corporate governance in recent years,the core concept of ownership structure is still the core issue of corporate governance,and academia still pays great attention to this issue.In recent years,with the rapid development of the financial market,commercial banks in the background of the new era to improve business performance has become a hot problem.In the mid-nineties of the nineteenth century,financial crises emerged worldwide.Banks in various countries suffered from shocks,and many banks even faced bankruptcy crisis.So far,academia has begun to pay attention to how to improve the performance of commercial banks from the perspective of corporate governance,and maintain the stability and rapid development of financial markets in various countries.The International Monetary Fund,the World Bank and the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision have proposed that in order to achieve the stability of the banking industry,inter-bank internal governance and improving the ability of the banking industry to resist risks is one of the most important issues.Therefore,optimizing the ownership structure as an inter-bank internal governance,has become an important way to improve the efficiency of bank operations and enhance the ability to resist risks.At the same time,commercial banks have been in the upsurge of listing in recent years.By the end of 2017,there are 28 banks listed in Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges in China.Along them,there are as many as 12 commercial banks listed after 2016.It can be seen that commercial banks have changed their ownership structure to meet the development of the new era through listing.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the ownership structure for the performance of commercial banks.The paper consists of five parts:The first part introduces the background,purpose and significance of the research,makes a simple summary of the research of scholars at home and abroad,then introduces the content and methods of this study,and finally points out the innovation and shortcomings of this paper.The second part is the theoretical basis,introducing the connotation of ownership structure and business performance respectively,and then briefly introducing the principal-agent theory,ownership theory and stakeholder theory.The third part is mainly about the analysis of the current situation and mechanism.It collects the data of listed commercial banks in the annual report and analyses the mechanism of the impact of ownership structure on business performance.The fourth part is empirical analysis.Firstly,we use factor analysis to construct a comprehensive performance evaluation system,and then use regression model to analyze the impact of ownership structure on the performance of commercial banks.The fifth part is the policy and suggestions.According to the current situation of China's market and the conclusions of the previous analysis,it gives relevant suggestions to optimize the ownership structure.
