Study On The Impact Of Rural Tourism On Regional Economy In Chengdu

With the acceleration of urban life rhythm,people’s work pressure is increasing,coupled with the reduction of urban leisure space,so the living space is becoming smaller and smaller,people are eager to return to nature to relax.The increase of disposable income and leisure time release people’s travel demand,but the lag of paid vacation system shortens people’s travel time and limits the scope of travel.Modern countryside with beautiful environment and convenient transportation has become a new tourist destination for people,and rural tourism has emerged as the times require.Agriculture is the primary industry of our country and the basic industry of our people.Tourism is the pillar industry in the service industry and occupies a very important position in the regional industrial economy.Rural tourism is a marginal industry that emerged after agriculture and tourism moved from industrial boundary to industrial integration.Agriculture provides resources and places for tourism activities,and tourism provides services.In view of the objective fact that the development of rural tourism has an obvious pulling effect on regional economic growth,Chengdu,as the birthplace of rural tourism,has been vigorously developing rural tourism in recent years as a new economic growth point under the background of rural revitalization.Chengdu has unique natural resources and cultural and historical conditions for the development of rural tourism.In recent years,with the support and planning of the government,many famous rural tourism scenic spots,such as Sanshenghuaxiang,have been developed.The development of rural tourism promotes the economic growth of Chengdu and provides more employment opportunities to a certain extent.Firstly,this paper studies a large number of domestic and foreign documents and the statistical yearbook of Chengdu in recent years,and on this basis,makes an analysis of the current situation of the development of rural tourism and related industries in Chengdu.The prosperity of agriculture,tourism and the strong support of government policies provide a good resource endowment and external environment for the development of rural tourism,and through Chengdu from 2003 to 2017.The annual rural tourism income data and GDP data calculate the contribution of rural tourism to GDP,and we can find that thecontribution of rural tourism to local economy in Chengdu is increasing year by year.Secondly,this paper combines qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze the economic effects of rural tourism.Based on multiplier theory,life cycle theory and tourism economic effects,an econometric model of rural tourism and regional GDP in Chengdu is established to analyze the income effect,employment effect and ripple effect of rural tourism development on regional economy.The results show that rural tourism has a significant pulling effect on Chengdu’s regional economy,and plays an important role in increasing employment and promoting the development of other industries.At the end,combined with the conclusion of the paper,this paper offers some suggestions for promoting the development of rural tourism in Chengdu from the aspects of deepening rural reform,tapping rural culture and cultivating new formats,in order to achieve the strategic goal of Chengdu to build a world tourism destination.
