Research On Vertical Agriculture Development In Guangdong Province

With the rapid development of urbanization,the urban land area is expanding continuously.The agricultural land resources are particularly tense under the requirements of food security.How to solve this exogenous contradiction? Vertical agriculture is based on urban architecture,using urban vertical space,technology,capital and other resources,using the urban sales network for agricultural production,and resource optimization to deal with urban organic wastewater waste.Undoubtedly,this revolutionary and sustainable agricultural method is an important direction for the development of modern agriculture in the future.Based on the advantages of vertical agricultural development in urban environment,food security,resource conservation,etc.,this paper is guided by agricultural versatility theory,agricultural modernization theory and sustainable development theory,and draws on the reference of foreign(US,Japan,Dubai)vertical agriculture.Develop experience,summarize the status quo of domestic development,and analyze the feasibility and practical obstacles of vertical agricultural development in the province based on the investigation of urban agriculture development in Guangdong,the attitudes of urban residents and the influencing factors,aiming at the current existing cognition,system and benefits.And technological barriers,propose a path for vertical agricultural development in the province,with a view to promoting the further development of urban agriculture in the province,achieving harmonious coexistence between urban environment and residents,and enhancing the sustainability of urban development.Through research,this paper draws the following main conclusions:(1)Foreign development experience suggests that the development of vertical agriculture in China should make full use of urban space,pay attention to the improvement of crop cultivation techniques and the utilization of farm waste,and pay attention to the social functions of vertical farms providing leisure and employment.(2)Most urban residents in Guangdong Province have a certain understanding of urban agriculture and expressed support.The current planting pattern is mainly for balcony and roof planting.How to solve the problem of capital and benefit is a key factor for vertical agricultural promotion.(3)The necessity of vertical agricultural development in Guangdong Province is reflected in alleviating the contradiction between urban expansion and reduction of cultivated land,alleviating urban population expansion and food security pressure,and optimizing urban sewage and waste treatment functions;the feasibility is reflected in the intention of urban residents to develop vertical agriculture.The province has the “budget” foundation of vertical agriculture,“exit barriers” and “positive externalities” need government support,and basic agricultural basic technical conditions are basically available.(4)There are cognition,system,benefit and scientific and technological obstacles in the development of vertical agriculture in Guangdong Province.The development ideas need to: increase the propaganda of vertical agricultural development and improve social awareness;establish and improve relevant laws and regulations to protect the vertical agricultural development;Establish a diversified investment and financing system,attach importance to the supervision of capital operation;strengthen vertical agricultural technical support and increase the training of relevant technical personnel.Through research,this thesis can further enrich the relevant theories of urban agriculture development on the theoretical level.In the practical level,it will provide reference for the government agricultural departments,development planning and other institutions to formulate guidelines for urban vertical agricultural development.For agricultural enterprises and real estate companies,it is equal to Guangdong Province.Attempts to develop vertical agriculture provide countermeasures and suggestions to form a new situation in which diversified market players promote vertical agricultural development,thereby improving the sustainability of urban agricultural development in the province and promoting agricultural modernization.
