The Yangtze River is the mother river of the Chinese nation and an important support for the realization of Chinese Dream and sustainable development.General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly given important instructions on the work of ecological and environmental protection in the Yangtze economic belt, stressing that all economic activities involving the Yangtze River must be carried out on the premise that the ecological environment will not be damaged, and that great efforts should be made to protect the environment and no major development should be undertaken.China's ecological footprint accounts for one-sixth of the global total and ranks first in the world.Without intervention and control, this kind of economic development beyond environmental capacity and biological ecological carrying capacity is unsustainable in the long run How to support the fast-growing economy with the limited ecological carrying capacity is the primary problem to be solved in the development of China's ecological civilization.Ecological footprint method is a typical method for quantitative evaluation of regional sustainable development based on biological physical conditions. As a description index of natural environmental pressure, ecological footprint reflects the status of ecological pressure, and also reflects the occupation of various resources in ecological environment. It is one of the problems discussed in this paper whether there is spatial interaction and spatial spillover effect between regions.Secondly,it analyzes which factors have significant influence on the increase or decrease of ecological footprint under the influence of geographical location.Based on the discussion of the above two problems, this paper puts forward some suggestions and countermeasures for the Regional Planning and sustainable development of the Yangtze economic belt.Firstly, the panel data of the Yangtze River economic belt in 2008,2011,2014 and2017 were collected, and the missing data in 2017 were estimated by usingcointegration model The equilibrium factor and output factor of the Yangtze River economic belt are calculated for the first time, and the more objective data of the ecological footprint, ecological carrying capacity and ecological surplus(deficit)of 11 provinces and cities in the above-mentioned four years are obtained Taking four years as a span, this paper analyzes the ecological footprint, ecological carrying capacity and the changes of the overall ecological situation of the Yangtze Economic Belt, and concludes that the ecological footprint of most provinces and cities in the Yangtze economic belt is decreasing year by year The ecological resources have been released to a certain extent.Although the ecological carrying capacity of the Yangtze River economic belt still shows a decreasing trend, the decrease in most areas is gradually reduced year by year, mainly due to the long recovery period of the ecological environment It shows that the ecological environment of the Yangtze economic belt has been restored and stabilized to a certain extent, the ecological deficit in the lower reaches of the Yangtze economic belt is more prominent, and the upper reaches has maintained a good ecological surplus An overall Moran's I test and a partial Moran's I test on the spatial correlation of the ecological footprint and ecological carrying capacity of the Yangtze Economic Belt are conducted It is verified that the ecological footprint and ecological carrying capacity of 11 provinces and cities in the Yangtze River economic belt have significant spatial correlation, and the ecological footprint of this region is significantly affected by the change of ecological footprint of adjacent areas It proves the necessity of regional ecological coordinated management and control in the Yangtze River Economic Belt For the first time, three indicators were selected, namely, the status of import and export, ecological capacity and the government's financial expenditure on ecological and environmental protection, and a six-indicator system affecting ecological footprint was set up The spatial econometric models were established in each of the four years, and the optimal models were selected according to the information criterion. The influence factors of ecological footprint were analyzed by using Spatial Durbin Model(SDM)and Spatial Durbin Error Model(SDEM),three significant factors were identified, namely, ecological carrying capacity, government expenditure on environmental protection, and the ratio of tertiary sector of the economy output to GDP.The same factors in different periods have different effects on ecologicalfootprint.According to the above conclusions and the current policy requirements, the paper puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to mitigate the ecological footprint and improve the current environmental situation from the two perspectives of the ecological status of the Yangtze economic belt and the factors influencing the ecological footprint of the Yangtze economic belt.
