In recent years, with the frequent occurrence of social conflicts in tourist destinations, many scholars have paid attention to them. The attitudes and behaviors of residents in tourist destinations towards tourism development have also become a research hot spot of scholars at home and abroad.Residents in ancient villages are important stakeholders in tourism development.Tourism development has brought a wide range of impacts to the residents of ancient villages.Residents are not only the main bearers of these impacts, but also the main participants of tourism development in ancient villages. The attitude and behavior of residents are the important factors that determine the local participation in tourism development.Especially for ancient villages, the overlap of scenic spots and communities, tourism development has a positive impact on local residents,at the same time, the negative impact can not be ignored. Therefore,it is of particularity and necessity to study the attitudes and behaviors of the residents of ancient villages in China. At present, domestic and foreign research on the attitudes and behaviors of the residents in tourist destinations mostly focuses on the sense of locality and fairness, while there are relatively few studies on the relative deprivation of the residents in ancient villages.Based on the theory of relative deprivation, this study constructs a behavioral model of residents' relative deprivation perception in ancient villages, explores the effects of attribution style and self-efficacy on behavior and its mechanism, and uses SPSS and AMOS software to test the reliability and validity of the data. The structural equation analysis are used to carry out empirical research, which provides a scientific theoretical basis and useful reference for the sustainable development of ancient village tourism. The research includes three parts:firstly,it analyzes the coping behavior of residents in ancient villages, and to understand the types of residents' behavior;secondly,it studies the attribution mode of residents' relative deprivation, the relationship between self-efficacy and coping behavior, the mediating effect of self-efficacy,and verifies the hypothesis model.Thirdly, according to the research results, the paper puts forward the optimization countermeasures for the harmonious and stable development of ancient village tourism. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The population of Wu yuan ancient village is mainly female;older;less educated;the occupation is mainly farming and individual tourism management, which is highly dependent on tourism;most of the residents live in the local area for more than 30 years;and the monthly income is mainly between 2,000 and 3,000.(2)There are four main types of coping behaviors of residents' sense of relative deprivation in ancient villages. They are:positive actions, toleration behavior,conflict-resistance behavior, evasive actions.Among them,Wu yuan ancient village residents are more inclined to take action to resist and retreat from the two types of coping behavior.(3)The internal attribution of residents in the ancient villages to the relative deprivation has a positive impact on the evasive actions, the positive actions of the coping behavior, the negative impact on the toleration behavior and conflict-resistance behavior coping behavior;the external attribution negative impact on the evasive actions and the positive actions coping behavior, positively affecting coping behaviors that are toleration behavior and conflict-resistance behavior.(4)The internal attribution of residents' relative deprivation in ancient villages has a significant negative impact on self-efficacy,while the external attribution has a significant positive impact on self-efficacy.(5)The sense of self-efficacy of residents in ancient villages has a positive impact on conflict-resistance behavior and toleration behavior of coping behavior, and a negative impact on evasive actions and positive actions of coping behavior.(6)Self-efficacy plays a mediating role between attribution and coping behavior of residents in ancient villages. Finally, the article puts forward some suggestions on the development of Wu yuan ancient village tourism from the aspects of reducing the sense of relative deprivation, guiding internal attribution and improving self-efficacy.
