As the most basic unit of China's administrative division,counties have always played the role of connecting link in various social and economic activities.Tourism,as an emerging green sunrise industry,is also no exception.It not only shares the pressure of tourism population in large and medium-sized cities but also satisfies curiosity of people for countryside interesting or exotic charm in the era of new tourism.Hence,the study on tourism in counties seems to be very necessary,especially from the angle of competitiveness in tourist destination.The reason is that China now has more than 2000 current county-level administrative units,covering numerous types.So it is unrealistic to summarize the tourist destination in counties in a few words.However,it is regrettable that there are fewer studies on the competitiveness of tourist destination in counties,and even fewer articles that take the quantitative analysis as the research method.In spite of a few articles based on quantitative analysis,they focus on determining competitiveness according to the economic data but ignore the unquantifiable impressions of tourists,as the direct experiencer of tourist destination.In this paper,based on above reasons,the author takes Jianning County of Sanming City of Fujian Province as an example,regards Taining County(neighboring county)as the benchmark city on basis of the idea of benchmarking management,establishes the double-system framework of competitiveness of tourist destination in counties,determines the demand-side competitiveness of tourist destination centered on travelling experiencer through the quest:ionnaire method,and determines the supply-side competitiveness of tourist destination centered on tourism service supplier through entropy-weight method&TOPSIS(Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution)(Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution)method,builds a relatively complete and compatible preliminary competitiveness system of tourist destination in counties,raises the existing problems in tourism development in Jianning County from the angle of tourist destination in counties,and finally provides the countermeasure and suggestions,and also hopes that the study will provide reference for Jianning's future tourism development as well as other cities hoping to develop counties tourism.
