A Case Study On Transformation And Upgrading Of Wood-processing Export Enterprises In Linyi City By Value Added Prospect

As the rise of global production networks and intermediate trade,a kind of forestry products may be more than once across country borders in the process of completing all value links,which leads traditional trade accounting methods to distortion and cannot reflect the real forestry trade gains of China.As a result,added value of forestry products should be put forward in the evaluation of forestry products trade.When it comes to the quality of Wood-processing in China,those enterprises are pretty in quantity but poor in quality.How to enhance the quality and efficiency to realize the transformation and upgrading and then climb towards the high class of global value chain is an urgent question waiting for answer.According to Four Levels Enterprise Transformation and Upgrading framework,this paper analyses the transformation and upgrading process of Xin Gang Group in four aspects,process upgrading,products upgrading,functional upgrading and inter-sector upgrading.Then,this paper estimates the VTR by using the method of enterprise production added value.From the perspective of the value added trade,this paper found that VTR in Xin Gang Group is in a rising trend.Five prospects,FDI inflows,government subsidies,research and design investment,export scale and brand marketing,are given to explain the influence of enterprise transformation and upgrading.Frankly speaking,FDI inflows,research and design investment and brand marketing,those three factors which increase VTR are helpful to transformation and upgrading,while government subsidies and export scale are not conductive to the transformation and upgrading.In the end,this paper puts suggestion for Xin Gang Group and Wood-processing industry of Linyi combining the influence factors of VTR.To Xin Gang Group,it should take time learning experience from abroad and Investing overseas,increasing investment in research and development to improve the level of Wood-processing technology and strengthening brand marketing to enhance the the influence of Xin Gang.For Wood-processing industry of Linyi,corresponding suggestions from the government and industry two aspects are put forward respectively.Government should integrate existing Wood-processing export enterprises and build Wood-processing value chain at first.Then,add the weak value links by attracting business and investment to accomplish a completing chain.Finally,strengthen the chain and continuously extend the value chain.Advice to Wood-processing industry include extending marketing services of smile curve,strengthening the brand awareness and joining the waves of "Internet+Wood-processing" and so on.
