Since the reform of non-tradable shares in 2005,"market value management" has been proposed by Mr.Shi Guangyao for the first time.In recent years,with more and more attention to market value management,there are many cases in which listed companies use inappropriate market value management methods to blindly improve the market value of enterprises.Such violations seriously affect the sustainable development of market value management,and to some extent disturb the order of China's capital market.For the listed companies in China,accurate market value management theory is the basis for their healthy development.It also reminds the listed companies to adopt legal and formal market value management methods to improve the market value of the company,not to rush for quick success and instant benefit.With the continuous strengthening of the supervision of the CBRC and the continuous reform of the financial industry,if CITIC Bank wants to maintain its position in the industry and enhance its market competitiveness,it is necessary to use legal means of value management,improve the level of value creation of banks,rationally improve the market value of banks,and strengthen the management of market value of banks.Firstly,this paper systematically reviews the literature about market value management at home and abroad,including the definition of market value management,the content of market value management,the problems of market value management of domestic listed companies,the evaluation model of market value management and the results and influencing factors of market value management.On this basis,combined with the basic situation of CITIC Bank and the relevant theory of market value management,this paper analyzed the current situation of CITIC Bank's market value management from three aspects: value management,value creation and value realization.At the same time,this paper also constructs the evaluation system of CITIC Bank's market value management.By evaluating the current situation of CITIC Bank's market value management,it finds out the deficiencies in its market value management,such as the relatively poor quality of CITIC Bank's assets,the low efficiency of value realization and the slow growth of core profitability.Then,the paper also analyses the reasons for the deficiencies in the bank.Finally,in view of the shortcomings of CITIC Bank,this paper proposes that we should improve the risk prevention and control system of the bank,improve the retail business model of the bank,enhance the effective merger and acquisition behavior,strengthen the management of investor relations and other optimization suggestions,as well as a series of safeguards.
