Chinese agricultural product markets have developed rapidly since the reform and opening up,especially after the 11th Five-Year Plan.It has initially formed a market structure with a backbone of regional wholesale(trading)markets and a supplement of wholesale markets of production area.As the new agricultural product marketing system development plan advances,many scholars have been caught in the study of spatial distribution in agricultural product markets.This paper takes the agricultural product markets based on POI data as the research object.The geography first theory,correlation theory of GIS,space location theory and agglomeration theory serve as this paper's foundations,this paper also discovers the spatial distribution characteristics of agricultural product markets and its main influencing factors in Jiangsu province.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Analysis on general characteristics:"South more and north less" is the characteristic of Agricultural product markets in Jiangsu province.It shows a state of agglomeration at a low level in entirely Jiangsu province and a large-scale of clusters in Agricultural product markets centered in Nanjing,Changzhou,Wuxi and Suzhou.When we look at other cities and small districts,we find only a certain scale of agglomeration in their center places.(2)Analysis on spatial evolution:Jiangsu province has witnessed many imbalances in the distribution of agricultural product markets since 2008.In Nanjing,Changzhou,Wuxi and Suzhou,the agglomeration points gather in their center areas and smaller agglomeration points cluster randomly in other parts of the cities,while in other cities,the agglomeration points nearly gather in their respectively downtown.As time flies,the north and south will keep pace with each other in the evolution of space.The downtown of every city will become much more agglomerating,and each county will sprout new gathering points.(3)Analysis on local features:The number of the agricultural product markets in Nanjing,Changzhou,Wuxi and Suzhou account for above 50%in Jiangsu Province.The agglomeration scale of the four cities is larger than any other cities in the province.The professional level of agricultural product markets in Southern Jiangsu is higher than that of Central Jiangsu and Northern Jiangsu.(4)Analysis on influence factors:The distribution of population matters a lot to spatial distribution of agricultural product markets.So the imbalance population distribution of Jiangsu province is one of the causes to the uneven spatial distribution of agricultural product markets.There is a positive correlation between the development of transportation infrastructure and the spatial distribution of agricultural product markets,of which the expressway and township roads have great influence on the spatial distribution of agricultural products.The regional economy development has a great influence on the spatial distribution of agricultural product markets.The economic development of Jiangsu province appears echelon shape,leading to the imbalance of the distribution of agricultural product markets as well.(5)Analysis on spatial coupling:Agricultural product markets distribution in Wuxi,Suzhou,Changzhou and Nanjing achieves high level of spatial coupling with population,economy and transportation;while in Suqian and Yancheng,agricultural product markets achieve a low level of spatial coupling with population distribution and even much lower level with economy.What'more,it also achieves a low level of spatial coupling with transportation in Suqian,while Yancheng performs worse spatial coupling level than Suqian.The coupling level between agricultural product markets and economy in Huaian is low,but high in population and transportation;the coupling of agricultural product markets with the three factors in other areas of this province achieves a high level.(6)Analysis on spatial coordinated development:The agricultural product markets development of Wuxi,Suzhou,Changzhou and Nanjing achieves somehow high level of coordination with population,economy and transportation,while that of Zhenjiang nearly achieves high level in population,economy and has achieved high level in transportation.The coordination level with the three factors in Suqian and Yancheng is very low;and for Huaian agricultural product markets,it is low with the economic development and much lower with population and transportation.The coordination of agricultural product markets with the three factors is still at a low level in other cities.
