Economic globalization and the information technology revolution have made the specialized division of labor and collaboration deeper and deeper.The factors that make the competitive advantage of the organization gradually turn into speed,flexibility,integration and innovation.Knowledge and information have become the most important resources of the organization.On the basis of preserving the advantages of the project team,the virtual project team breaks through organizational barriers,breaks the time and space constraints,makes resource allocation more reasonable,organizes more extensive cooperation,works more flexibly,and responds to changes in the environment more quickly.Due to the outstanding performance in the formation of corporate strategy and customer value creation,virtual project teams are increasingly promoted by managers.However,its characteristics across organizational boundaries?time boundaries and spatial boundaries have also brought difficulties to teamwork,such as communication barriers,trust crises,cultural conflicts,etc.How to make the virtual project team smoothly and efficiently cross the boundary barrier and improve the efficiency of teamwork has become an important research topic.This paper uses the SPS case study method to conduct an exploratory single case study on the electromechanical integration business virtual project team formed by the electromechanical equipment branch and the overseas organization in CHEC.After many field interviews,a large amount of first-hand data was collected.This paper deeply analyzes the management behaviors of the case team,the team operation mode,and the team management mode.At the same time,combined with the virtual project team culture theory,enterprise subculture theory,team boundary theory and social psychology research conclusions to build research framework and theoretical model,the cultural management thinking hidden behind the case team management behavior is deeply explored.This paper believes that the virtual project team culture aims to form a unified business thinking mode and behavior mode within the team.After the cultural leaders construct the team culture concept,they promote the team culture through horizontal communication;The degree of acceptance of culture by members has experienced three stages of cognition,identification,and internalization,and the influence of cultural concepts on members has gradually deepened.On the basis of breaking the team communication barrier,reshaping the teamwork concept,and building the team's fast trust,the members reached a business consensus,and the consensus,ability matching,and action consistency enabled the team members to successfully cross the boundary barriers to achieve efficient cross-departmental business collaboration.The innovation of this paper is to explore the construction mode,communication mode and mechanism of team culture,based on which,the business-based subculture formation model is extracted.This paper enriches the virtual project team culture management research and enterprise subculture research.
