Domestic asset management enterprises have developed rapidly in the past ten years.Affected by the Sino-US trade war and the strict financial supervision policy in 2018,they are facing a severe survival crisis.In order to maintain their market competitiveness,some asset management enterprises have given priority to the implementation of management measures such as salary cuts and layoffs.As a typical asset management enterprise with large scale,rapid development and wide business coverage in the industry,Company A also made large-scale layoffs in the severe market situation in 2018.However,the effect of layoffs was not as expected,the standard of layoffs was not uniform and difficult to meet the public.At the same time,it also caused employee dissatisfaction and labor disputes,and the performance of retained employees declined or even resigned.The problem has caused some troubles to the management and development of the company.Layoff management is an important part of human resources management,improper handling will have a negative impact on employee relations,employee performance,corporate culture and future development of enterprises and even social harmony.Therefore,company A urgently needs to solve the problems of layoff management and improve its shortcomings.This paper takes the issue of layoff management in Company A as an example,combines the relevant theoretical basis of layoff and literature research,based on the actual pre-trial model of layoff,comprehensively uses interview method and questionnaire survey method to conduct an investigation and analysis of layoff management.It is found that the reasons for the above problems are as follows:lack of a systematic and reasonable layoff plan,lack of open and unified layoff standards,layoff procedures and so on.The economic compensation violates the law and the management is imperfect after the ruling.In view of each reason and referring to the suggestions in the actual pre-trial model of layoffs and the effective management methods of layoffs in domestic and foreign enterprises,four improvement measures and suggestions are put forward for the layoffs of Company A,including:reasonably formulating a systematic layoffs plan,unified layoffs standards based on performance norms,strict compliance with legal provisions in layoffs procedures and economic compensation,organizational reengineering of layoffs and employee care for retained employees.In addition,it puts forward to improve the performance management system,pay attention to effective communication management and strengthen legal risk prevention to provide comprehensive protection for the implementation of the proposed layoff measures,and reduce the negative impact of layoffs on company A and society.
