Faced with the complex macro environment,with the deepening of interest rate marketization and the growth of Internet finance,commercial banks still rely on traditional spreads business as a carriage driven by bank profits,which has become weak.If commercial banks want to survive and develop in the new situation,they must speed up business transformation and seek new growth points.Intermediate business,with its low cost,low risk,high income,wide range and many kinds of products,has become an inevitable choice for commercial banks.At present,compared with foreign commercial banks,the proportion of intermediary business in business income of Chinese commercial banks is still low,and there is still a lot of room for development of intermediary business.Due to the changing macro environment,including the development of Internet finance,the phenomenon of disintermediation,the deepening of interest rate marketization,the implementation of national inclusive financial support policies and poverty alleviation policies,the income-generating space of W Branch interest spreads becomes narrower,and it is more and more difficult to rely solely on deposit and loan business to improve the performance of banks.It is urgent to open up new revenue channels.This paper studies the development of intermediary business in postal savings bank W branch.In this paper,comparative analysis and integration of theory with practice are adopted.Through the analysis of the W-branch itself and the comparison with other local commercial banks,it is found that there are some problems in the development of intermediary business,such as insufficient attention to the development of intermediary business,lack of effective management,imperfect evaluation and incentive mechanism,shortage of middle and high-end talents,weak development of intermediary business of company and institution,weak differentiation competitiveness,lack of effective marketing,low value of information resources and so on.By learning from the development experience of other commercial banks in the same industry,combining with the current situation and the actual situation of W Branch,this paper puts forward some countermeasures suitable for the development of branch intermediary business,which can be summarized as "three core forces,one basic point".The three core forces are motive force,ability and resultant force.One basic point is compliance management.Motivation is injected through assessment and incentive mechanism.Ability is enhanced through training and strengthening business pioneering power.Create synergy through organization management and department linkage.Compliance management is achieved through the construction of risk management mechanism.It is imperative to expand intermediary business.W Branch should face up to the problems in business development,take effective measures around"three core forces,one basic point",break the deadlock of intermediary business development,shorten the gap with other commercial banks,and create new profit growth points.
