Study On Tourism Efficiency Of Urban Agglomeration In Chengdu Plain

As sunrise industry in the tertiary industry,tourism industry has developed rapidly in recent years.It has promoted the development of other industries when its status has gradually become prominent in the national economy,Therefore,how to rationally use regional tourism resources to achieve optimal tourism efficiency has become an important research issue.In addition,due to some factors such as geographical conditions,infrastructure and economic development,the development of tourism in different regions is not the same.As a tourist resources province,Sichuan Province has unique tourism resources.With the concept of the Chengdu Plain urban agglomeration,cities within the urban agglomeration will surely win more tourism development opportunities.Therefore,analyzing the causes of the development of tourism in the cities of the Chengdu Plain urban agglomeration and the formation factors deeply has become an urgent problem to be solved.At the same time,this paper would make a great significance to the rational development and utilization of resources in the Chengdu Plain urban agglomeration and even the tourism industry in Sichuan Province,as well as to maximize the economic benefits of tourism.This paper adopts the quantitative empirical research method,taking 8 cities in the Chengdu Plain urban agglomeration as the research object,and sets the number of employees in the tertiary industry,the number of travel agencies,the fixed assets investment in the tertiary industry,the attractiveness of tourism resources and the number of star-rated hotels as input indicators,and sets the total tourism revenue and the total number of tourists are set as output indicators,using the data from 2008 to 2017,from static perspective adopting the CCR model of the DEA data envelopment analysis method and the BCC model to measure the comprehensive tourism efficiency,pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency,using the Manquist index to measure the total factor productivity from a dynamic perspective,calculate the dynamic process of tourism efficiency in eight cities over a 10-year period.The results indicates:(1)The general tourism efficiency of the 8 cities in the Chengdu Plain urban agglomeration shows an increasing trend with an average of 0.9.The highest average value of Leshan City is 0.993,and the lowest in Mianyang City is 0.788.(2)The average technical efficiency of the 8 cities has reached 0.9 or above,which is relatively stable and basically at a high level,but there are certain differences between these cities.(3)The scale efficiency and overall efficiency of the 8 cities are similar,indicating that scale efficiency has a greater impact on the overall efficiency of tourism.(4)All the 8 cities have experienced excessive input and insufficient output in different years.Finally,based on the above conclusions,this paper analyzes the current tourism development of Chengdu Plain urban agglomeration from the perspective of tourism efficiency constraints objectively,and then gives targeted measures to improve urban tourism efficiency.In brief,the research of this paper clearly reflects the current situation of the tourism industry efficiency of the Chengdu Plain urban agglomeration.and based on this,it gives suggestions for the improvement of tourism efficiency,hoping to help relevant departments to formulate countermeasures for the healthy and stable development of regional tourism.
