Research On The Impact Of Enterprise Core Competence And Enterprise Innovation:The Moderating Effect Of Government Regulation

Chinese enterprises are now entering an active period of innovation,and their innovation ability is obviously improved.The core competence of the enterprise as the most important capability within the enterprise is the core factor affecting the and development of the enterprise innovation,and as the external institutional environment of the enterprise,the role government regulation plays in the process of enterprise innovation is more controversial.Because companies have great differences in the choice of innovation patterns,and the improvement of innovation performance is also caught in the bottleneck of "innovation paradox",in the current external government regulatory environment,corporate decision makers need to think about how to develops appropriate corporate innovation pattern selection strategies and enhances innovation performance according to the development of core competitiveness;government department must define its own functional orientation and consider how to control the degree of regulation to avoid resource crowding and rent-seeking.The main content of this paper is to explore the role of the core competence of enterprises in the choice of innovation patterns and the improvement of innovation performance,and whether if government regulation has a regulatory effect in this process.This paper summarizes the relevant domestic and foreign subject literatures,and conducts theoretical analysis.Then,using the 2012 Chinese Enterprise Questionnaire Data(a total of 2,700)of the World Bank Enterprise Survey Database(WBES),the enterprise samples of different scales are empirically analyzed.The following conclusions are drawn:(1)The improvement of core technology will weaken the motivation of enterprises to choose imitation innovation,while the improvement of dynamic capability will promote enterprises to choose imitation innovation.Government regulation will weaken the influence of core technology and dynamic capability on the choice of imitation innovation;(2)Increased core technology and dynamic capabilities of enterprises will enhance the motivation of enterprises to choose cooperative innovation,and the government regulatory environment will promote this choice;(3)Core technology level is the most important factor affecting enterprises'choice of independent innovation model;(4)Government regulation can strengthen the positive relationship between core competence and enterprise innovation performance;(5)Enterprise innovation model plays an mediating role in the process of the impact of core competence on innovation performance;Therefore,enterprises should combine their core competitiveness,choose an innovation pattern that suits their own situation,and upgrade their core technologies,then march toward the road of independent innovation and development.At the same time,they must also enhance their dynamic capabilities,transform the traditional closed-type independent innovation concept,and unleash the vitality of independent innovation.
