Since the 21st century,the traditional insurance intermediary industry with agents as the main force of sales still maintains a rapid development trend,but it is also increasingly faced with sales misguidance,high cost of acquisition,low income of agents and other difficulties.In the context of "Internet +",online insurance intermediaries represented by Internet companies and third-party distribution platforms have risen rapidly,changing the original market structure of insurance intermediaries.How to maintain the good development of Internet insurance intermediaries and coordinate the relationship between Internet insurance intermediaries and traditional insurance intermediaries has become an urgent problem for all countries.For this reason,a series of laws and policies have been issued by various countries,and the construction of China's Internet insurance intermediary system is also proceeding in an orderly manner.From 2015 to 2018,China insurance regulatory commission gradually refined the regulatory measures for Internet insurance business,and successively formulated and issued a series of laws and regulations,including interim measures for supervision of Internet insurance business,notice on strengthening supervision of personal insurance products,and implementation plan for special rectification of Internet insurance risks.This paper introduces the research background,significance,domestic and foreign research situation,research method and research focus of Internet insurance intermediary,expounds the concept of Internet insurance intermediary and five development routes including MGA general agent and third-party product distribution platform,simply analyzed the current situation of the development of the global Internet insurance agents.Combined with GOJI,Embroker Friendsurance and MassUp,the four overseas Internet insurance intermediary platforms in the United States and German,we can analyze the cases,and summarize the characteristics of digitalization and perfect service process of overseas Internet insurance intermediary,etc.Then,in this paper,through the SWOT analysis of China's Internet insurance intermediary strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats,and from the angels of online distribution platform,Internet companies,the traditional insurance intermediary and the government,combined with the result of the SWOT analysis,we can put forward the development Suggestions on China's Internet insurance agents:online distribution platform should strengthen the blow for insurance fraud and standardization of business operation,build the core competitiveness;Internet enterprises should attach importance to improving user experience,cooperating with external organizations,paying attention to market segmentation and strengthening the control of relevant risks,etc.Traditional insurance intermediaries should focus on introducing scientific and technological talents through stock ownership incentive.on the macro level,the government can strengthen the management of insurance fraud risk,business risk and legal risk of Internet insurance intermediaries.
