Under the contradiction between the growth of rigid demand for food and the tightening of per capita resources,China's grain supply and demand will remain in a tight equilibrium state for a long time,and the pressure to increase food supply in China is growing.China has been committed to increasing the effective supply of grain from the perspective of increasing grain yield,but insufficient attention has been paid to reducing postpartum losses and waste.However,due to resource and environmental constraints,domestic grain production is becoming more and more difficult.Under such circumstances,it is particularly important and urgent to reduce the loss and waste of food in the post-natal period.Processing is the intermediate link of grain post-production,which has the role of linking up and down.Controlling grain loss at this link is of great significance for reducing post-harvest losses.This paper takes wheat as the research object.Firstly,based on the review of relevant literature research,this paper designs a questionnaire and conducts a field survey on the loss status of wheat processing enterprises in 20 provinces across the country.Describe and collect the collected data,and compare and analyze the loss degree of each section of the processing link and the processing enterprises of all scales and regions.Secondly,based on various factors,the evaluation system of factors affecting wheat processing loss was constructed from the micro,meso and macro levels.On this basis,using the survey data,OLS regression method and quantile regression method were used to empirically study the influencing factors of wheat processing loss.Finally,based on the above analysis,the policy recommendations were put forward.This study mainly got two conclusions: First,the national wheat processing link loss rate is about 0.93%.The loss rate in East China and South China is lower than the national average.The loss rate in Central China,North China,Southwest China and Northwest China is higher than the national average.Second,the precision of domestic equipment mixing and processing has a significant positive impact on wheat processing losses.Dietary awareness has a significant negative impact on wheat processing losses.In addition,when the level of loss is at a low level,expanding the size of the company will help further reduce the loss.Managers' food-saving awareness is more significant for companies with high levels of wheat processing losses.
