Analysis On Development Situation And Path Of Wheat Production In Hebei Province

Food is the paramount necessity of people. As one of the most important food ration of China,wheat directly related to national food security and social stability.2013’s Central Economic WorkConference and the Central Rural Work Conference put food security in the first place, and presented“ensure grain to be self-sufficiency and food ration be absolutely safe” as the national food securitytarget. As an important wheat production province, Wheat production accounts for11%of the nationalwheat production，therefore，the productivity of Hebei province play an important role in the nationalfood security and socio-economic development in rural areas.The paper studies the wheat development of Hebei in recent years, analyzes the wheat production,consumption and processing, and briefs that the cost of wheat production is high while profit isrelatively low, the quality varies among different wheat varieties, products could not satisfying themarket, the wheat deep processing companies are in small scale, and the overall processing technicallevel is low. The paper also analyzes the restrictive elements on the wheat industry developmentin Hebei.In the end, based on the wheat development situation, the paper proposes suggestions for the stabledevelopment of wheat industry development in Hebei province.
