In the era of knowledge economy, enterprises need to continuously deepen reforms and accelerate independent innovation, especially focusing on integration and management of new knowledge so as to enhance core competitiveness. However,it is difficult to deal with the problems and challenges faced by companies through the leaders' own knowledge and skills alone. The sharing of individual knowledge, especially tacit knowledge, can help enterprises to develop and offer new products and services, improving the innovation performance of the organization. However,in workplace,it is not easy for employees to share their tacit knowledge which is the core advantage of maintaining individual development. Therefore, how to establish an effective incentive mechanism of knowledge sharing has become an important realistic problem for enterprises to implement knowledge management.Although scholars have explored the antecedents of employee knowledge sharing from the individual and organizational levels, few researches have been done to explore the impact of the leadership style on employee knowledge sharing behavior, especially researchers revealing the influence of the leadership style on different types of knowledge sharing behavior of employees.Self-sacrificing leadership is a sacrificial trait of leader and its relationship with employees' knowledge sharing behavior is unknown.Whether self-sacrificing leadership can promote and motivate employees to share knowledge through their own behavioral beliefs are needed further studied. From the the perspective of social identity, the research explored the influence and the internal mechanism of self-sacrificial leadership on employee explicit knowledge sharing and tacit knowledge sharing, focusing on the mediating effect of identification with leader and the moderating effect of employee psychological entitlement and perceived insider status. We selected employees from 8 enterprises of Hubei provinces as research subjects and analyzed the 286 data through hierarchical regression and so forth. The results of empirical analyses indicated that self-sacrificial leadership had significantly a positive effect on employee explicit knowledge sharing while had no significant impact on employee-tacit knowledge sharing;identification of leader played a totally mediating role in the relationship between self-sacrifical leadership and employee explicit knowledge sharing;the psychological entitlement negatively moderated the relationship between self-sacrificial leadership and identification with leader behavior;perceived insider status moderated the relationship between self-sacrificial leadership and employee tacit knowledge sharing behavior,Only when the employee perception of insiders' status is high,do self-sacrificing leadership and tacit knowledge sharing have significant positive correlation. To a certain extent, the study reveals different impacts of self-sacrificial leadership on employee's explicit knowledge and tacit knowledge sharing behavior, and provides new inspiration for knowledge management in enterprises.Facing different problems about knowledge sharing, managers can take specific knowledge management measures to promote knowledge sharing among employees, improving organizational creativity and sustainable competitive advantage.
