Research On The Relations Of Innovation Source Decentralization,Knowledge Search And Enterprise Patent Output

With the deepening of mass innovation,innovation sources are becoming more and more popular and decentralized.Simple internal internal research and development has been unable to meet the needs of enterprise production,increasing number of them begin to use knowledge search to acquire new knowledge.In this context,enterprises with different knowledge search strategies usually have different patent outputs.The decentralization of innovation sources not only brings opportunities for enterprise innovation,but also increases the difficulty of enterprise knowledge search strategy formulation.However,previous studies have not paid enough attention to the impact of decentralized innovation sources on knowledge search and patent output.Therefore,based on the theory of innovation diffusion,this paper constructs an analytical framework among the innovation sources decentralization.、knowledge search and patent output,aiming at verifying the correlation among the innovation sources decentralization,knowledge search and patent output,and incorporating the technological diversity and scale of enterprises into the research framework to study their regulatory role.Based on the statistical analysis of enterprise finance、business status and patent-related data of several representative enterprises in China from 2006 to 2016,the research hypothesis of this paper is verified.The results show that:(1)the innovation sources decentralization has a positive impact on the knowledge search width and the joint dimension of knowledge search,but a negative impact on knowledge search depth;(2)the innovation sources decentralization has a positive impact on the patent output,and the joint dimension of knowledge search plays a part of the intermediary role in this promotion.(3)Technological diversity positively regulates the promoting effect of innovation source decentralization on enterprise patent output,while enterprise size has no moderating effect on the relationship.This study provides a theoretical basis for the formulation of enterprise knowledge search strategy and the direction of government public policy under the trend of the innovation sources decentralization.
