In order to coordinate regional development, national policies actively guide the cross-regional transfer of industries;after the 2008 financial crisis, the new economic normalization and supply-side structural reforms have profoundly changed the industrial transfer environment in China. The Yangtze River Economic Belt has China's most extensive economic hinterland and development space. The Yangtze River Economic Belt Development Strategic Plan has determined the important strategic position of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.In order to promote the efficient transfer of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and promote the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,it is necessary to study the current situation of the industrial transfer of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and its impact on total factor productivity under the new economic background. At the same time,by combing relevant literature at home and abroad,it is found there is currently little comparative analysis of the impact of different types of manufacturing transfer on total factor productivity.Based on this, this paper takes the 2007-2016 Yangtze River Economic Belt manufacturing industry as the research object, and divides the manufacturing industry into labor-intensive industries,capital-intensive industries and technology-intensive industries according to the intensity of factors, and compares and analyzes the impact of the transfer of the different type of manufacturing on the total factor productivity.Firstly, this paper combs the relevant literature and basic theory of industrial transfer and total factor productivity, and analyzes the mechanism of industrial transfer's influence on total factor productivity, which provides theoretical support for the empirical research and analysis.Secondly, based on the location entropy theory, this paper establishes a measurement model of relative industrial transfer. The results show that:(1)labor and capital-intensive industries are transferred from the lower reaches of the Yangtze River to the middle and upper reaches;(2)Compared with capital-intensive industries,labor-intensive industries are transferring faster;(3)Technology-intensive industries are transferring from the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River to the downstream.Thirdly, based on the economic growth model, this paper constructs the DEA-Malmquist model to quantitatively measure the total factor productivity of manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. The results show that:(1)the total factor productivity of labor and technology-intensive industries is on the rise;Overall, the total factor productivity of capital-intensive industries is declining.(2)The total factor productivity of labor and capital-intensive industries in the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River Economic Belt is growing faster than that of the downstream regions;the total factor productivity of downstream technology-intensive industries is growing faster than that of the middle and upper reaches.(3)Technological advancement is the main reason for promoting the increase of total factor productivity in labor-and technology-intensive industries.(4)Declining scale efficiency is an important factor in slowing the increase of total factor productivity in labor, capital and technology-intensive industries in the upstream region. Then,in order to further study the impact of industrial transfer on total factor productivity, based on the results of relative industrial transfer measurement, this paper divides the Yangtze River economic belt into industrial transfer land and grounding, and constructs a regression model for empirical analysis. The results show that:(1)The transfer of labor-and capital-intensive industries promotes the increase of total factor productivity in the transfer-out area;each 1% increase in labor-and capital-intensive industry transfer will promote the total factor productivity of laborand capital-intensive industries in the transfer-out industries by 0.0038%.And 0.0024%.The transfer of technology-intensive industries has slowed the increase in total factor productivity in the transfer-out area;a 1% increase in technology-intensive industry transfer will result in a 0.0027% decline in total factor productivity in technology-intensive industries in the transfer-out area.(2)Labor and capital-intensive industry transfer slows down the increase of total factor productivity in the grounding;the 1% increase in the transfer of labor and capital-intensive industries will lead to the total factor productivity of the labor-and capital-intensive industries, respectively.Decrease by 0.0053% and 0.0037% in the grounding. The transfer of technology-intensive industries has promoted the increase of the total factor productivity of the grounding;every 1% increase in technology-intensive industry transfer will promote the total factor productivity of the technology-intensive industries to increase by 0.0015% in the grounding.(3)The role of labor-intensive industry transfer in promoting the total factor productivity of the transfer-out area and the alleviating effect on the total factor productivity of the grounding is greater than that of the capital-intensive industry.(4)Human capital, technology investment and openness can all promote the improvement of total factor productivity of the three types of manufacturing both in the transfer-out area and the garounding.(5)The impact of industrial structure on total factor productivity in economically developed regions is significantly positive, and the impact on total factor productivity in economically underdeveloped regions is not significant. Finally, based on the research conclusions of the paper, guided by the " Yangtze River Economic Belt Development Strategic Plan",this paper proposes to promote the efficient transfer of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the development of high-quality economy:(1)Scientifically formulate industrial planning and Pay equal attention to the transfer and undertaking;(2)Improve the regional cooperation mechanism and narrow the regional development gap;(3)Increase human capital and scientific research input, and raise the level of opening up.
