| The urban-rural transitional area is located between the urban built-up areas and the vast rural areas. The spatial form and the quantity, structure and spatial pattern of land use have changed dramatically because of various factors such as economy, society and ecology. This paper uses spatial analysis and geostatistical methods to research the urban-rural transitional area in Suzhou based on the Landsat image data, land use vector data and statistical yearbook data of 1995,2000,2005,2010 and 2015.Research indicates:(1)Taking the principles of comprehensiveness, dynamics and operability, this paper combines qualitative methods and quantitative methods, the urban built-up area as the inner boundary of the urban-rural transitional area, and the administrative boundary of the town connected with the urban built-up area as the outer boundary of the urban-rural transitional area. The expansion of urban-rural transitional area o the eastin Suzhou is most obvious, but it generally expanded in a circle and has a certain degree of roundness.(2)With the expansion of urban space, the land use structure of the urban-rural transitional areas changes significantly, mainly reflected in the frequent conversion of construction land, cultivated land, grassland, unused land and water area. The cultivated land area always takes the largest proportion, and the construction land changes most.It has become the main characterization of the structural changes in land use in urban and rural transitional areas.(3)In terms of spatial pattern,,the fragmentation degree of land use types in the urban-rural transitional area increases, the agglomeration decreases, and the heterogeneity increases according to different landscape pattern indexes.Among them, the plaque density and the number of plaques in cultivated land, construction land and woodland increased, and the connectivity between plaques decreased.(4)The factors affecting the transitional urban form and land use structure of urban and rural areas are complex and diverse, mainly including natural factors, economic factors, population factors, traffic factors and policy planning.Natural conditions have laid the distribution pattern of woodland and water body.Economic development and population growth have led to the expansion of construction land, the change of land type pattern of traffic impact, and policy planning directly affects the scale and distribution of land use.In summary, through the definition of the transitional area of urban and rural areas and the evolution of land use patterns and spatial structures at different time periods, the process of rapid urbanization and social and economic development in China is truly reflected from another level. It enriches the policy and evolution process of the development and utilization of urban land use intensity in developed regions of China, and provides a theoretical basis for the preparation and implementation of a new round of land space planning. |
