Study On The Development Of Laos Green Industries

It is one of the current trends in the world economy to develop green industries in enhancing the status of green economy and achieving sustainable economic and social development.Laos has the resource endowment advantage of developing green industries represented by agriculture,tourism,bio-energy,hydropower,etc.,but so far,it has mainly implemented the development strategy of “resource-for-capitalization”,while the economy is growing rapidly,There has been a waste of natural resources and environmental degradation.At this stage,in the process of developing green industries,Laos has problems such as insufficient infrastructure,inefficient government agencies,and lack of technology and funds.Therefore,it is particularly important to study the advantages and deep-seated constraints of Laos' development of green industries and green economy.This paper first expounds the estimation method and development theory of green industry scale and provides theoretical basis and measurement method for analyzing the current situation of Lao green industry and then proposing the development path and policy of green industry suitable for Laos.Secondly,using the measurement tools including the gray correlation model,the scale and level of Laos green industry represented by agriculture,tourism,bioenergy,hydropower,etc.are specifically estimated.At the same time,the driving effects of these industries on the relevant industries and even the Lao national economy are measured.Then,it analyzes the advantages of Laos' development of green industry's resource endowments,especially the main factors that restrict the further development of green industries.Finally,based on Laos' resource endowment and industrial planning and the development of target industries such as green agriculture,green tourism,and green power,we propose suggestions for promoting the development of Lao's green industry from the aspects of government efficiency and infrastructure.
