Leadership style refers to the type of behavior, work style or work characteristics of the leader.Since the birth of leadership style theory in the last century, various leadership style theories have emerged.Chinese scholars have found through research that the transformational/transactional leadership style theory established by Bass has different performances and dimensions in the Chinese situation, and thus establishes the theory of transformational leadership style and transactional leadership style theory in the Chinese situation. As an ancient country with long history,China has attached great importance to the role of officials in social governance since ancient times. With the continuous development of the economy and society, the main body of social governance has been expanded from the original government department to the common governance of public officials. There are a large number of public officials in China, and it is undoubtedly of great significance to explore the influence of leadership style on the job satisfaction of public officials, promoting leaders to adopt appropriate leadership methods to improve the job satisfaction of public officials.Based on the theory of transformation/transactional leadership style in the Chinese situation, this paper conducts a questionnaire survey on public officials and obtains relevant data on the leadership style and job satisfaction of public officials. After analysis,it is found that the job satisfaction of public officials is not affected by age, gender, unit type and working years, but it is significantly affected by the rank of posts. Both transformational leadership style and transactional leadership style are positively related to the job satisfaction of public officials, and the transformational leadership style has a higher correlation with the job satisfaction of public officials. Some people from the questionnaires were selected to participate in the single attribute implicit association test.It is found that for public officials, the implicit effect between the two leadership styles and job satisfaction is significant.Words that represent transformational leadership style have a more positive implicit relationship with words that represent job satisfaction.Through the comparative analysis of the implicit effect and the results of the questionnaire,it is found that the public servants whose implicit preference leadership style is consistent with the actual accepted leadership style have higher job satisfaction.
