Research Of Forecasting And Material Inventory Management Of Server Products In H Company

In recent years,with the rapid development of economic globalization,the market competition is becoming fierce.Enterprises who want to survive and develop in the fierce market competition must develop their own core competitiveness.The inventory management plays a very important role,enterprise who can effectively control the inventory level will be able to reduce its daily operation cost,and improve liquidity,formed its own advantage.There are already a lot of theories and methods regarding the inventory control in supply chain management,such as MRP,MRP ?,JIT,VMI,JMI,CPFR etc..But this paper focuses on the front end,trying to minimize the inventory by making the demand forecast more accurate.This Paper studied the current domestic and foreign research status and referred to H company's own characteristics,as well as the historical shipments in the past quarters,and established demand forecasting models by using the moving average method,single exponential smoothing method,second exponential smoothing method and seasonal cycle method,respectively.Compared with the current method that H company is using,and after the forecast accuracy and error analysis,it is concluded that the seasonal cycle method can better improve the forecast accuracy.On the base of the quarterly forecast,this paper used the seasonal cycle method again to split the quarterly forecast into each month,and proved again that the seasonal cycle method can improve the forecast accuracy in H company.Finally,the demand forecasting model was applied to the business operations in H company and has very good practicability.Finally,took some typical parts as examples,compared their inventories before and after the use of the new model,and found the new model indeed reduced a lot of inventory pressures for the company.
