| Business innovation comes from employee creativity;employee creativity is affected by cultural,organizational,and personal factors.There are limited researches on the impact of traditional culture on employee creativity,so we hope this research can fill this absence by exploring the concept of employee creativity and social face.This study reviews the literature the definition,antecedents,and dependent variables of related constructs.Built upon previous studies,we proposed a theoretical model of social face as an independent variable,feedback-seeking behavior as a mediator,employee creativity as a dependent variable,and psychological safety as a moderator.By collecting questionnaires form 292 dyads,we drew conclusions:Social face can positively predictive employee creativity;feedback-seeking behavior works as a partial mediator in the relationship of social face and employee creativity;psychological safety moderates the relationship between social face and feedback-seeking behavior,and the relationship between social face and employee creativity via feedback-seeking behavior.Based on these findings,this study further explored the theoretical and practical significance of this model and above conclusions,discussed the limitations of this study and suggested future research direction. |
