entities will choose the best location to maximize profits.With the changes of production factors,policy environment,market conditions and cultural concepts,Through the accumulation of upstream and downstream industries in cities and towns,urban space with certain scale,function and form is formed.Secondly,the process of promoting urbanization has always been a matter of great concern to the Party Central Committee.The report of the 16 th Party Congress pointed out that “it is necessary to adhere to towns with Chinese characteristics”.The road to the 17 th National Congress of the Economic Zone and an important industry in China.agriculture,military,tourism,cultural provinces.Thorough analysis and in-depth study of the basic defects,scientific layout and optimization of Sichuan's urban spatial structure are of great strategic and practical significance for comprehensively promoting Sichuan's regional resource development,economic development,social progress and even the overall upgrading of the new urbanization process in the western region.Based on the spatial development pattern of Sichuan Province in the “One Belt and Five Districts”,this paper attempts to explore the optimal path selection of urban spatial structure in Sichuan Province by analyzing the existing defects of urban spatial structure in Sichuan Province.Based on the three main clues of urban spatial density,scale and shape,the current situation of urban spatial structure in Sichuan Province was explored.Through the analysis of urban spatial structure point elements,line elements,surface elements and spatial industrial structure,the relevant indicators of spatial structure of Sichuan cities were obtained.Evaluation results and main defects;explore and establish the
